bbqreloader - the CMP did find a bunch, but the previous administration wouldn't let them back in from S. Korea.

I love the m1. I have a 2, an inland and a rockola. I bought the inlandifrom the camp about 10 years ago. The rockola i inherited from my grandfather. Still has the receipt from when he bought it and 1000rounds of ammo for like 40 bucks post war.
But I don't shoot them as much as I should because I have a complex about losing the brass. I spend way more time hunting brass than shooting.

I started collecting .30 carbine brass several years ago, let friends know I was collecting, bought 500 pulled, factory brass, and am now somewhere around 1,500 or so.

But yeah, I don't shoot it enough.

Wait! I don't shoot anything enough! Darn job and having to keep food on the table and a roof over my head.

Thanks for posting that. I have a 43 Inland that needs a dot, or should I say that I need a dot for my 43 Inland. I've seen those rails that replace the hand guard wood. I shoot a dot ( Vortec Venom) on my MKII Ruger so the eye relief should be about the same. I'm thinking my Inland is about 3 MOA. Should be a good match.

Yours is the first report I've seen with that set up. Now I'm really interested.:D

When the French police ordered Ruger Mini-14's some years ago, they specified an M-1 Carbine type stock with the oiler cut out and a wood upper fore end. Be nice to find one of those stocks and have a Carbine lookalike in .223.

Love my M1 Carbine '42 Inland, and while I have no doubt it would preform in a pinch it's too damn valuable and is staying as issued for when I feel nostalgic.
Besides I have a black dime a dozen 10" 300 blackout AR that really does everything better.
