Hi Point 9mm carbine. They shoot great with a wide variety of ammo, are actually fairly comfortable with the ugly stock, and no other PCC even comes close to being as affordable. I'll buy, someday.
I have a Heritage Rough Rider. With .22lr and .22mag cylinders. My dad bought it about 10 years ago and his health is at the point he can't use firearms anymore, so it was passed down. I've always loved that cheap piece of junk. It's fun to shoot and more accurate than I am. You just have to figure out how to shoot with only a front sight. This one has a great trigger and the action is smoother than most revolvers I've used that are in the $400-600 price range. The only thing I hate is loading and unloading. Those 9 shots go pretty fast when you're having fun plinking.
My Savage Axis is another good cheapo. I bought it used 5 years ago for $225 with a Rifle Basix adjustable trigger and a nice scope mounting rail. I spent $70 on a good bi-pod and $40 on a nice Nikon scope. A guy bought the scope, mounted it, and decided he didn't want a silver colored scope on his hunting rifle. I can be cheap, I have no problem putting a cheap paint job on a scope to knock the shine off.
Cheapo that I might try, Charter Arms revolvers.
Cheapo that I stay away from, anything Taurus. But I'm not going to open that can of worms any further.
