What are range fees where you live?

When I don't make it to the farm I go to Larry's pistol & pawn and it is a nice indoor range. Indoor range for $10 per hour and has 15 lanes out to 25 yards. Not too bad.

Free at the home here in the sticks.

But I joined the local FOP Lodge as an associate member so I can leave work during the week and use their outdoor range at lunchtime. It's a mile away from my work :D. It costs me 85 bucks a year, and guests with me shoot for free. Mid-day during the week there's usually nobody there. Yeah... Life is good.

In rural IA local range was $20 a year.. sunrise to sunset, no RSO unless meeting day. I miss that place.

Here in SE MI at a particular state DNR range - $4 a day, plus a yearly $24 parking sticker. (outdoor only 10-5).

$75 the first year and $50 after that with a $6 fee for each time there, limited to two hours when there are a lot of people. It's not too much, even at the price you're paying.

the local indoor and outdoor is owned by the same family, $10 a day or $120 a year, obviously i go with the year membership.

A few in my area
One is a Sheriff's dept. outdoor range that is open to the public. Membership is $30 per year. 50 yard pistol range, 200 yard rifle range. Bring everything you need.

One is at a gun store, Coal Creek Armory, to be exact. $15 a lane per person, each additional person half $7.50.

Third is a gun club. $120 a year, 1,000 yard rifle, 600 yard rifle, plinking range (25yard pistol), Archery range, and indoor 25 yard range.

We have a nice range in Los Angeles.

Maybe 30 or 40 rifle benches with distances out to 600 yards.

Same number of pistol spots with distances to 100yds.
Plus sporting clays.

I didn't realize how much some of you have to pay at the range. WOW. For less than $10 a month I can shoot indoors or out, anytime I want, no per visit fee. Family shooters and friends are okay as long as they are with me.

Fees are about $100 a year (discounted w/NRA membership) and one time $100 fee. The one time fee used to bother me, but not anymore.

I frequent 2 clubs. The first is very close to the city. 100 yd outdoor range with 10 covered benches. Indoor combo pistol / archery range. 28 target outdoor archery range (that I do not utilize). Dues are $50 per year. Indoor range fees are $3.00 (unlimited time). Outdoor range fees are $1.

The other I have not joined yet as membership is limited (currently closed)and on a sponsorship basis only. I hope to get it next time they have an opening. They have 6 outdoor pistol bays, 100, 200, and 600 yd rifle range. 1 skeet field and 2 trap fields. I have not used their rifle or pistol facilities, but I go out once a week to shoot trap / skeet. Trap and Skeet pricing as follows (per round): non-member $3.25, member $3.00, junior (under 16) $2.00.

I really, really like this club. First year dues are about $200. After that about $150. First year membership is probationary. You have to be voted in after your first year. Membership also requires that you attend at least 6 of the 12 monthly meetings and complete 6 "work days" at the club per year. To some, this may seem demanding, but the club is truly top notch. There is none of the complaining that "only a few guys do all the work." It is a very active club, people are friendly, not too click-ish. They welcome new shooters. I have taken my 15-year old nephew out with me several times this spring and the guys are always supportive. I don't feel like I am imposing. This type of attitude is important to the future of our sport.

Howdy guys, posting from somewhere in the suburbs of chicago.
Place nearest to me is GAT guns, and it's ~20$ an hour, 25 yard pistol indoor only.
If youd like to rent you have to pay a 50 dollar deposit fee, 20$ per range hour, 10 dollars per gun rented, with an 8 dollar exchange fee, and buy their ammo. While I can understand the last bit, everything else seems a bit over the top.

I'm a medical student and as im sure you can imagine the colossal funds going into schooling, they've priced me out of the game for now. I can barely afford to go out for lunch once a month!:( Off topic, but a sidenote about scholarships: because we're "middle class" my years of schooling have to bankrupt my family before I'm eligible. Funny how that works..

However, an hour and a half drive yields a range called the Pine Tree Pistol Club in rockford which allows the public to come shoot all day for 10 dollars on two sundays of every month (very reasonable, but kinda far).

If anyone else in the general area knows of any safe but affordable ranges, I'd love to hear from you!
