What's at Your Range?

Nice range @ kcofohio. Wonder how far from me here in NE Ohio. I am in the Cleveland SE suburbs and for the past 25 years or more have membership at Kebly's in Lawrence, Ohio about an hours drive. Great range but stops at 200 yards. :(

It's just outside of Gibsonburg, Ohio. Maybe 15 miles west of Fremont.

Free, unmonitored, (was there earlier today), open sunrise to sundown. City maintains it and cleans up, does pretty good.
Looks very nice and orderly. Your photo makes me curious. Can you park at any of the ranges? Or do you have a designated parking area and have to walk to each of the ranges? I bought one of those collapsible wagons but haven't had to use it yet.

My club range is not a real big range but it is the biggest in the area.
We host many shooting competitions & allow the local law enforcement and others to have a safe place to shoot.

That's a lot like ours, a few more pistol bays, a 20 bench 100 yard range, and our long one is only 300 vs 500.

Set up a lot like yours though.

That's an old photo, as the road is now paved right past the range. If you see what looks like a ghostly line midway between the ranges and the road - that's the chain link fence, seen here. That's the back of the 300 yard line there. Between that fence and the road is parking, 99% of it unmarked dirt, but a couple of handicap spaces on concrete. That sidewalk runs from the concrete pad by the main gate where the handicapped spaces are, up to the 300 yard range. Accessing all the rest are walking over rocky ground - carrying the steel target all the way down to the 25-yard bays can be FUN!

I live between Kelbly's and Canton McKinley Rifle and Pistol and belong to both. They are great ranges and each has its strongpoints, but it would be nice to have a place in NE Ohio that's longer than 200 yards.

There are sure some nice facilities shown here. It's a bit different for most of us here where I am, however.

It depends on wherever I swing the truck 75 degrees to where I decide to shoot and set up over the hood.

Years ago I guess the old TRW Rod and Gun club went out to 500 yards. While I enjoy Kebly's and have for over 25 years. Every now and then I still get that desire to see what I can or can't do at 500 yards or meters. :)
