VZs and some barnhart burners that came on the Caspian.

BTW-Brownells gives a better discount for LE/MIL than 10-8 does.

Both of my Baers wear grips from "Carbon Creations:

Mine are their "flat black". They also offer varios colors and finishes:

Ebony with all over checkering.

My carry 1911 is nearly black, so the black grips make it even less conspicuous.

I like my pachmayr grips. I know the are cheap I think $25ish on ebay but they look nice and feel good in my hand. I did have to make so adjustments to make them better. I reglued the rubber and the little medallion on with some epoxy so they won't fall off then a little filler at the finger grooves so they don't feel so flimsy.

I just bought a new set made from purplewood....this wood is found in the Amazon jungles and is very hard. No checkering/stippling but they feel good. I need to figure out how to attach a pic from this Droid.

yes, purpleheart....my mistake....I guess I wasn't paying attention to what I was typing. It is attractive to me and the salesman (the son of the gentleman who made them) said they'll darken to a deeper purple with exposure to the sun.

You picked some nice grips! Any G10 like those and VZ, will outperform wood;)
I run VZs on everything I have grip panels on, that they have!

Click the link from SharpsDressedMan in post #28. Esmerelda has some absolutely stunning grips, and a few very utilitarian but still attractive.

I have mostly DD checkered wood, also have VZ grip, on 10mm. had to sand them down some, so they were not so sharp. also Hogue rubber wraparound on my TCM .
