What did you shoot today?

Single action Saturday. Put several cylinders off 22 short, short CB, and 22 long rifle through my Heritage and made a hard right turn to full power 357 loads in my Blackhawk to confirm a load I made a couple months ago actually works. Now I can go into production mode with a full power load that shoots well enough for 25 yard off hand practice.

Broke out a couple of my oldies but goodies for a little range fun today. First was my hand me down from my great grandpa a winchester model 67 single shot bolt action 22short,long and long rifle. Its one of my favorite rifles i own and has put food on my table when there wouldn't have been otherwise. And i have full intention of being buried with this rifle. Been shooting it over 30 years. And second was my slightly modded mosin nagant. It has a modded cantilever scope mount drilled and tapped holding simple 6-12 power scope and custom machined downward bolt handle mated to machined bolt. And a quick black paint job to add a more tacticool look. Screenshot_20230902_190107_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20230902_190210_Gallery.jpg

I took That Boy to the range today. (Y’all know the one. That Boy who is trying to woo our daughter.) He’d never shot a gun, so I fixed that today with:
A 10/22
2 Ruger American Rimfires
A Howa Mini in .223
A 22/45
A SA 1911 and
A S&W Shield Plus
Well, he can't be too bad if he made it home without an "unfortunate" accident.....😁

TBH, he seems like a pretty decent young man. I would not have taken him to the range in the first place otherwise. He jokingly told the Little McGee that he was afraid I would take him out there & shoot him. I had her remind him that there are cameras at the range and that I’m smarter than that.
