What do you carry?

Cold Steel Delta Darts, either in a sleeve-sheath on the inside of my forearm...I tend to carry two of these...I COULD carry 4, if I wanted...

Gecko45, is that you?

@sm, haha. Like Anthony Hopkins (in Zorro) whipping out a spoon. Nice.

When at work, my car keys. When I get home, usually it'll be a XD 9 subcompact in a crossbreed supertuck (IWB), or if I feel like OCing (since I have to when going to a restuarant), it'll be my XD 45 service OWB.

In my arsenal, I have the following primary options for carry.

H&K USP45 Tactical

I use a Fobus roto-holster for this. Either the paddle, belt, or even shoulder-holster, depending on what I'm wearing. I use a Bulldog fanny pack holster when it's hotter out, and it wouldn't seem out of place with the rest of my outfit. I usually keep the vortex muzzle brake on, since it doesn't interfere with the holster. When I use the Bulldog fanny pack, I can even keep the B&T Quad rail on, with an Insight M6X and an Aimpoint Micro, but if I do, it would be because I had taken the USP to the range, and was too lazy to remove the quad rail.

Kel-Tec PF9

I use a Comp-Tac shirt tucker holster, generally. I have some of the 5.11 concealed carry denim jeans, and the holster T-shirt and the casual shirt with the snap-buttons designed so you can reach the holster on the holster T-shirt underneath, but I have yet to actually use those to carry (I bought them more as part of my collection). If it's cool enough out that I can wear that much clothing, I can generally conceal the .45. The only advantage that the holster T-shirt has is that I can use the Insight X2 with it, but I never considered that particularly important

NAA .22LR mini-revolver with holster grip.

Just goes into whatever pocket won't have other stuff in it. El Paso really does occasionally get prohibitively hot to wear clothing suitable for carry, and when I don't think I can get away with the Bulldog fanny-pack, the mini revolver could be all I carry. At least when it comes to firearms.

I always keep at least one backup weapon, that isn't a firearm.

Cold Steel Delta Darts, either in a sleeve-sheath on the inside of my forearm, or on a horizontal belt sheath (leather, colored to match the belt) at the back. I tend to carry two of these. One at each forearm, or one at each side at the back. I COULD carry 4, if I wanted... but I just haven't ever done that.

If I don't have a belt on, and am wearing short sleeves, I keep one of those cheap United Cutlery Inkpen knives, either clipped to a shirt pocket, or to the band of my wristwatch. I tend to like my self defense knives to be cheap and disposable.

Where do you keep your night vision goggles?

hahah, I'm just messing with you; I was born in El Paso, small world, huh?

after my license comes in a couple months, I'll have a kimber .45 inside my waste band, and a bottle of chile spray in a pocket or something.

According to Texas state law, someone you WOUND in self defense can sue you for wrongful injury. The families of someone who you KILL in self defense, cannot. That's just a legal fact at the moment. The Delta Dart could be deadlier than the .22.

Wrong-o friend-o: that only applies if they're on your premises, which means inside of a building you own, or your car. Not front lawn, or anything else.

Also, it hasn't been proven in court yet.

I usually carry one of the three handguns:

Glock 21. I carry it when I don't need to easily conceal it. It's my favorite handgun but it's kind of large on hot days.

Glock 27. This is my primary concealed carry handgun. It's a great weapon but I still like the G21 better.

Beretta Tomcat. I only carry this when I REALLY need deep concealment. Like when I'm swimming or something. :)

Normally I carry a Smith & Wesson model 638 loaded with Federal Nyclad 38 sp.+P in an IWB holster at 4 o'clock.

RX-178, I understand your reasoning but remember the cops are likely to have the same reaction to those darts many here have had. They'll be thinking "mall ninja" or something equivalent. They don't add much to your defense esp with an excellent USP at your disposal. Just food for thought.

I carry a modified taurus mod. 85 ultra lite with no hammer spur, loaded with federal hydra-shok 110 gr.and waiting on my LCP to come in.A snub 38 in the truck at all times.A 9 in the bedroom w/15 rounds,My GP100 357 is on my side during hunting season.

Most often, a .38 Snubby (Taurus 85 or 851) in my pocket.
Occasionally (depending on mode of dress and destination (fear factor)), a Ruger SP 101 (the Taurus guns as BUGs) IWB or OWB, Glock 19 (my favorite, but only when I can wear a covering garment), and on rare occasions, a Beretta Tomcat .32 ACP.

But one of those .38's goes everytime!

I now carry one of Two Colt Gunsite Pistols (government model).

If I am in a 9mm mood I will carry one of my High Powers, usually a BHP factory chrome, tweaked by Novak.

My first Semi Auto was a SIG 228 or 225. Because of Arthritis in the trigger finger, I only carry the above single actions now.

Prior to legal CCW and the SIG, I carried a S&W model 66 3inch barrel. Intermittent with a S&W models 38, 649, 638, and today a 642 with the CTC laser grips. That 642 is still my primary BUG. Although I sometimes use a Colt Pony Featherweight.

That's the short answer.

Go figure.

I usually carry a Glock 26 IWB, one extra magazine, Surefire E2, Cold Steel folder, and a Parker stainless steel pen. Other times when need a more James Bond look I carry a S&W 442, a speed loader, Surefire E1, and my stainless steel pen.

After a hundred rounds, the SP101 has graduated to carry# 1. It usually takes a while to convince me, but this little guy impressed the heck out of me.

Springfield XD .40 SC in waistband, Taurus 851 in front pocket, NAA .22 mag in cargo pocket if applicable.

Also Surefire E2D and Kershaw Junkyard Dog II.

Smith&Wesson 360pd in a Desantis Packet Holster loaded with Federal .357 130gr. Hydra Shocks.

I live in Florida and shorts and a t-shirt or a polo shirt as well as a baseball cap (optional) are considered the regulation uniform. The 360pd is a little light when shooting full load magnums but I am able to shoot accurately without flinching at the range without adrenaline numbing the pain. The plus side is that I was able to carry today at the Magic Kingdom without giving it a thought the entire day and I did not compromise on stopping power.
