What do you want for Christmas?

Well, since I bought my own gift on Black Friday, an 80% G19 Kit (that my wife doesn’t know about...yet) I decided to not put a whole lot of gun related items in my Christmas list.

I put a Hogue J frame black rubber grip on my list. And that’s it.

What did you wish for Christmas.
I'd like a chronograph, ive been to long without one.
Maybe a new reloading press, my little lee has about had it.
And a red Ryder bb gun,

Merry Christmas. Troy.
You'll shoot your eye out kid...

At this point, I just want my 4 month old to be healthy enough for me to get back into shooting again.
I only burned 3 pounds of gun powder this year.
A little birdie told me I might be getting enough steel targets to outfit my 500 yard range.
Thankfully all she wanted was her Marlin trigger to match her Timney, a case of Mary Kay and cake pans.

I'm easy. I'm happy with clothes.

My wife says "you're weird!"

I'd like a SeekOne SK860 OBD 2 scanner.

And Craftsman is always nice, too!

My oldest daughter told me last year that I'm hard to buy gifts for. We were in Sears at the time and I took her through the tool section and said "I'll let you in on a secret: you can't go wrong with Craftsman tools!"

"But i don't know what you already have!"

"I'll let you in on another another secret: it doesn't matter! There's ALWAYS room for more things like screwdrivers, pliers, and other small things!"

:):):)

A 1hp 56 frame 120v electric motor. This will be mounted to an old Clausing 16” swing drill press. Said drill press has been extensively gone through to be functionally perfect and shows about 3 thousandths of runout with the quill at full extension. I have no issues using this machine as a light mill, especially for making small shallow cuts or small deep cuts by making multiple passes. This machine being operational will let me get back to work on some of my project guns that need parts made...

so that means...
*a “bolt” for my 1898 S&W SH lemon squeezer
*A receiver for the single shot bolt action 22 that will probably be cut to pistol length before final milling on the receiver.
*a receiver for a SAA style flat gate single shot 22lr gun
* a receiver for another SAA style flat latch 32long
* custom milling for a Glock 20 or 21 alpha wolf slide since they are never in stock to buy finished
* better cuts for my buntline .357 where I blew the ejector housing off and stripped the hole then busted a tap and had to dovetail slot it to get it back together... looks like crap now but it’s functional again. Same gun needs flat-topped for a scope mount because somebody bubba worked it to take a Blackhawk scope mount and it SUCKS because it’s not rigid.
* model 10 smith needs similar flat-top treatment or cut for adjustable sights.

I think my list could go on forever. I need a working mill.

All I want for Christmas is all the corrupt politicians to be voted out. All the kids in foster care and who's parents can't afford anything to get something nice. Maybe if it's not to much to ask a couple 1,000 rounds of .22 lr would be nice.

I want (tall order) a cessation of the assault on the values and freedoms upon which our great nation - the best on Earth! - was founded , including and especially our Second Amendment Rights.

And one little selfish gift - a firing pin for a Beretta 418 .25 acp pistol.

These two Christmas list items - disparate though they are - have something in common : VERY difficult to attain.

Good wishes but these are goals that must be endlessly pursued and protected.

I wish for a lack of credit card debt and for financial punches to the groin to stop coming.

The first wish is within your power to attain. After attaining your first wish you be able to block most of those financial punches.

Vehicles and medical stuff. Unexpected stuff. Don’t want to kill my savings.

I’m thrifty. Credit card gets paid off every month. This is a rough fall and early winter.

No guns for me for awhile.

Back to firearms, I am fighting the temptation to treat myself to a CZ Bobwhite G2 side by side. I've always wanted a small gauge SxS. Not a crappy cheap one and not heirloom quality either. I want one to hunt with and the Bobwhite looks perfect. Now I can't decide on gauge, leaning toward 20 but very tempted by the 28.

Firearms related a early 80s model 60 for my kids. Don't trust this new junk out now. A Enfield jungle carbine with a few hundred rounds. And for my wife a 642 w/o the internal lock. And some new wool socks so I don't freeze my toes off at the range.
