I have just made series of phone calls.

I called the TN Gov. office to thank him for signing two pro 2A bills into law. Castle Doctrine and Emergency Powers Act.

I emailed my local Rep for the TN house of Representatives about two bills currently being debated, one in his committe. I expressed support for both of these and urged him to do the same. These bills would open up TN parks and wildlife areas for legal carry of a gun.

I called both of my Senators to express support for a bill in Senate that will enable retired and off duty LEO's to carry.

All this infor can be found at http://www.nraila.org/

do something!

Taught my little sister to shoot her pistol. Also started educated her on the importance of the 2nd.

I also have been giving everyone who orders Molon Labe decals many extras so they can hand them out to friends and family and give them a chance to explain the meaning behind it. They tend to be a pretty good ice breaker when talking to antis and fence sitters. With the amount I give away free I dont really make any money off of these but I sure do spend a lot of time. Sure beats watching TV. I want to do more though.

I gave senator Peter Burling an earful about his introduction of New Hampshire SB44. It was a patently stupid piece of legislation that would have allowed local issuing authorities to reject concealed carry permits for any reason they could make up. It also provided that members of "terrorist organizations" would automatically be denied CHL's. Uhm, since when did jihadis ever apply for permits before shooting people?

Gladly that piece of legal excrement was disposed of. I wish I had been at the hearing but I was out of the state on a business trip at the time. I did what I could with a phone and email and I got others to do the same.

That aside, sometimes the best thing you can do for 2A is to remind others that its their right too. Take a newbie to the range, teach him/her the basic safety rules, then watch their faces light up after they empty their first mag downrange. It's priceless - and you've got one more ally in the fight. :D

Today a friend made me and asked why I carried a gun. I replied with "you dont?" The lightbulb went off and now I am taking them to the range soon.

I'm been making a number of calls to my representatives (state and federales) and senators (also state and federal).
I'm currently monitoring and state legislation concerning anti-rights laws initiated in PA. This information goes to a local forum (www.pfoa.org). I'm a member of that forum...not connected to it in any other way. The folks who own and operate the forum are doing a heck of a job too, I might add.

And, I contact any media organization that presents firearms or owership of firearms in an inaccurate method. I know there is a lot of folks on THR who do the same, and I commend them for it!

I try to correct any incorrect usage of "hot topic" word usage such as "High Capacity" when it actually is a standard capacity and sporting rifle when folks erroneously use the term "assault rifle".

1. I bought my friend an NRA membership.

2. Wrote a letter thanking Rick Perry for his support of CCW in schools.

I donate to the NRA, teach friends to shoot and support Ron Paul for President of this nation.

I'm one of those people who, while a gun owner and enthusiast, didn't really feel that gun laws were a bad thing. I've since educated myself on the topic and now I write letters and make calls almost daily in support of RKBA. I live in CA, so it's often like ******* in the wind, but I keep it up.

In the last year or more I've joined the NRA and others as listed in my sig line.

I've also been buying more guns.

taught 9 kids to handle and safely use mossberg 500, including one anti who was introduced to a new way of looking at things, safely, historically, and passionately...

I attended a LAPD Police commssioners meeting, and reminded them that the law says they have "NO obligation to protect individuals", the "cell phone is a communication device NOT a self defense tool" and that the moniker, "To Protect & Serve" on the side of the vehicles is "False Advertising" and leaves citizens with a false sense of security.

I suggested that a shall issue CCW policy would help them fight and prevent crime, that Law abiding citizens who have submitted to BG checks, training and profiency with firearms are not the ones thay have to worry about. And If they chose to allow Chief Bratton another term they should craft guidelines to issue CCW's that eliminated teh Fox from guarding the hen house with ragerd to "Good Cause".

I also left them with material to review with regard to @A, the Parker decision wher the SCOUS 9th dist. appeals reinforced the notion that the 2nd Amendment was an INDIVIDUAL right.

I donate to the NRA. I also joined at the lifetime member level. I'm also looking at joining a local organization called Grass Roots North Carolina.

Started to develop a screenplay with a friend. Putting RKBA in a positive light. Who knows if anything will come from it but it's worth a shot.

I let Oleg photograph me.

The one poster I did was very controversial (even on this forum). In light of recent events in my state (over which prompted it), I'm glad I posed for it, and will not hesitate to do more work with Oleg as time allows.

I took a few friends from work shooting a while back. I taught them the importance of 2A and how it relates today more than ever. I also taught them the main rules of gun safety and explained that if they followed those rules, it was extremely unlikely anybody would ever get hurt.

I've written my congressman (John Mica) and senators (Bill Nelson, Mel Martinez) regarding legistlation to voice either my approval or outright contempt for specific bills.

A few ways I think I need to become more involved:

1. Become active in a RKBA orgazination
2. Contact my representatives at the local and state level
3. Buy more guns :D

Tsra

I stayed informed.

I photographed the TSRA 2008 calendar for free.

I took my girlfriend to the National Matches during the pistol portion.

I made the airlines check my pistol when I flew.

I accepted a new offer to teach a kid of a very prominent citizen in the city how to shoot.

I'm going back to Perry with the Texas State Rifle Association rifle team.
