Nice looking machine! It looks somewhat like my Giraud!
Do you have to do the pocket uniforming process every loading…?Expanded/primed 100 9mm Winchester cases which are only ones I've used since June 2023. After dry tumbling yesterday, as needed, I also uniformed pockets, deburred flash holes, and chamfered mouths
No. One and done. But I'm old, lazy, poor eyesight, and stupid so I miss them from time to time and must keep an eye out.Do you have to do the pocket uniforming process every loading…?
I resemble that comment….No. One and done. But I'm old, lazy, poor eyesight, and stupid so I miss them from time to time and must keep an eye out.
Follow up that the SA SPP went bang without a problem.Loaded up 100 .45ACP using the Servicios Aventuras Small Pistol Primers I bought from the Norma site about a month ago. I've already tested the primers in my .38 special revolvers without any issues. I plan on getting to the range tomorrow and test them out with my G21 and S&W 1911 to see if they go "bang".
Edited to add that I'm reloading .45 and .38 special on my Dillon SDB.
Does your new press not prime as part of its progressive features? I really like the idea of a progressive press with the case trimmer.... how handy...Moved/shuffled a few things around to facilitate the new progressive. The blizzard in the West is delaying its arrival. Have all my bolts ready and waiting to fasten it down.
Have the 308 brass all completely prepped. Might try to slip down and prime it. I’m honestly tired enough(shoulder kept me up most of the night) I don’t have much ambition.
Ya. But, I like doing my rifle stuff single stage at this point. Will that change? Dunno. lol. I’m thinking about setting up a mark seven style trimmer(can’t remember the name… trim express maybe?) on with another single stage I have laying around, or putting it on my progressive at times.Does your new press not prime as part of its progressive features? Ordered a Lyman 47th from EBay...
Yes…Curious, why the 47th? Looking for data no longer available in the newer manuals?
Dammit, now I'll have to order one as I also load for the 45-70 and I have several shotshell/pistol powders. Thanks for the reply SoonerYes…
In particular, 45-70 loads with shotshell or pistol powders to use for HEAVY grain subsonics…
Ditto.I resemble that comment….
Sent a PM….Thanks for the reply Sooner
