I'm the limiting factor in group size based on my vision. Lever guns are so fun though...Tried out the Hornady 300 grain XTP in the .44 Magnum Marlin 1894P, with 17.0 grains of Accurate No.9. Success!
1387 fps SD 13
50Y 5-shot group 2.75" (Williams FP, elbows on a bench)

Beautiful. Even have that tilt shot technique going on.Loaded up some 30-30 160 gr. FTX over CFE223.
I’ve been putting in a lot of time on the bench resulting in a lot of output. I think I’ll try and get out to the range soon
I also picked up a TC Contender w/ a .256 Win Mag barrel @ an auction. Excited about developing a load for that cartridge, and all the prep & things that come with loading it. View attachment 1206235View attachment 1206236View attachment 1206237
I like it! The thing that scares me about putting up a shelf at my bench is after a bit, I'll just have a cluttered bench AND shelf!

Ain't that the truth!Law of horizontal surfaces.
Super cool bike!OK gents. Trying to clean up the reloading room today, AKA, MY GARAGE. My reloading bench area is clean enough, but the rest of the garage is a disaster area. The biggest issue is my lovingly restored 1982 Honda GL-500 Silverwing Interstate - Twisted V engine. I have to get that sold or donated. I have hung up my motorcycle spurs permanently, and it is taking up far too much room in the garage, so out it goes. Hopefully I can get it started and donate it to the "Vehicles For Veterans" program. I think it must be running for that to happen. I have not started it in 5 or so years. I just put in a new battery last week, so I am crossing my fingers.
Lots of work to do. I plan on finishing today's cleanup by 3 PM, then some 45 Colt Reloading as a reward for my hard work. The entire garage project willt take weeks.
Dump out any gas that's in it. Pull the bowls on the carb and inspect for Alcohol damage. Ethanol gas is only good for 30-90 days max depending on temp stored. I run ethanol free in all of my small engines, lawn equipment and boat. Once I switched over, I no longer had to work on equipment to get it to run every year. Cost more but saves money in the long run.OK gents. Trying to clean up the reloading room today, AKA, MY GARAGE. That certainly is a fine looking rifle. Just perfect!Staball6.5 gave me the best combination of velocity and accuracy in a Ruger No.1 RSI in 7x57mm. Hornady 154 SST with 49.0 grains gave me 2737 fps (SD 16) a 3-shot 1.5" group @ 200Y off the bench bags. Another nice cartridge that is dying due to the industry need to sell "The New".

Drain the gas tank and the carbs (hopefully it was put up that way). You might need to drop the float bowls and clean the crud out - I'd at least check 1 to see before trying to fire it up. Put 1 gallon of gas with 1 pint of SeaFoam in the tank and see if it starts. Otherwise, you might need to lovingly restore the carbs and fuel system end to end....OK gents. I think I now know where the former Midway employees went.FedEx delivered bullet order from Cabela's. Fortunately it had been double boxed. Nothing escaped as far as I can tell.
