With the increasing likelihood that we are facing the most anti-RKBA gov't in recent memory (if not history), I was wondering what people are doing to get ready for the upcoming fight.

For my part, I've been recruiting people to participate in a grass roots writing/calling campaign to let their Representatives and Senators know that "shall not be infringed" means just that. With enough support, we can make the RKBA the political third rail so many falsely imagine it is.

I'm also challenging the Obama supporting gun owners to do the same. If guns aren't part of his (and thus, their) agenda, then this shouldn't be a hard committment for them to make.

Today, I voted. :D Got my absentee ballot in the Mail and filled it out. I won't mention how I voted, since we're not at APS, but I'll tell you I definately did MY part today. :p

EDUCATE gun owners/hunters on this fact.I hope that folks completely understand what it is that they're voting for..

I also voted today. My absentee ballot came in yesterday.

I also discussed Gun Control issue and candidates' positions with a couple of folks.

I ran 13.1 miles today... Today was a day for some other things... I did carry concealed as usual though... Does that count?

Attended a local open carry dinner. Played 20 questions with staff and other diners. Reaction waqs running near 90 percent positive I'd say. Only had one person that any of our group talked to that flat-out disliked the idea. We had several "You can DO that? Cool." reactions.

Got a call from my buddy down in Texas, and he attended his CCW class yesterday, and is going to get his app turned in on Tuesday(Thanks to yours truly.) Another buddy in Florida is waiting on his to come in the mail. Got it after we spoke at length several times about Gun ownership, ccw, protecting yourself and your loved ones, etc. That's two angels that just got their wings. :D

What have you done to multiply our numbers, amplify our voice?

Voting isn't the idea. Sending in your membership dues isn't either. Carrying and being a good example is something that we do for ourselves.

Convincing others that the antis are lying, working for a campaign of a politician that supports RKBA or recruiting new members for RKBA organizations is.

One person can get two new people added to the ranks of the shooting community. You've just tripled your "voice".

While getting checked for my new bifocal prescription I recruited the tech who was helping the doc out. She asked if she could bring a friend out to learn to shoot also and I told her to bring anyone she thought would be interested. She asked what it would cost and I told her I didn't charge because it was my way to help get folks into the sport and to help them learn to defend themselves.

That's amplifying our voice.

I didn't vote, but I did take two first time shooters to the shooting range yesterday. I taught them the usual gun safety stuff and we had a good time tearing up those targets! They are already interested in going shooting with me again!

This morning I buried a 73-year old woman who carried every day - in her purse, in her car, and kept at least two stashed in her house - one by the 'fridge and one by her bed.

She died of "natural causes." Firearms had nothing to do with it.

As to what I did, I mentioned it in the service in a tasteful way. Got some interesting looks, from :what: to :scrutiny: to :D.
