What is the answer to "why you have so many guns"

Actually I have less than 20 total, and this puts me at a huge disadvantage when talking guns with some of my friends. One in particular has over 30 handguns and even more rifles than handguns. I don't even venture a guess as to how many shotguns he has. :scrutiny:

I suppose something will always come along that I just can't live without. :D But I'll try to not get a collection so big that I can't remember what I have. :confused:

A question: Does anybody ask you, "What, only five!!?" :D

Amazing enough I used to know people that had that many guns.

The answer to your question is no... And I work at a place where people have to stop and think how many/what kind of guns they have.

Woman- "Because the voices in my head told me to buy more."

Woman- "I can also hurt many people with spiked heels."

Frankly, I am surprised that you would discuss your guns with any stranger. NOT prudent.
Even most of my family has no idea of what is in my safes, and I ain't telling.

Well I wouldn't say she is a stranger. And I don't talk about guns with the temps the client hires or just anyone in the street. Ditto with my neabores.

Besides me and a coworker go shooting on weekends.

Answer lik emy 3 year old does. Every time I ask him why he did something his responce is "because I did."

Example: Why do you have so many guns?
Because I do. :)

Besides, nobody knows how many is enough. Always buy, never sell..........

Hey, that's a chance to convert two people then.

Of the 14 or so firearms I own, I only bought 5 of them. The rest were all gifts or inherited. Only 3 are not C&Rs. None are EBRs, (yet.)

So I just explain that they are family heirlooms, (Some don't even function, ;) and you can't buy ammo for them ;) ) I also explain that I collect relics.

Here in California, I often expect antis to be talking to me, but I am usually pleasantly surprised. Many people I know are unfazed by more than 10 guns, but they knew me when I only owned 1.
 
Golfers, if you follow the rules anyway, are allowed only 14 clubs during a tornament redneck2 not 15, but the point is the same because most will own alot more, i my self have 17 firearms and have been asked many times, by coworkers, why so many and i tell them it's because i can afford it.
