What is the most recent knife you bought?

My new backyard garden beater. Buck 112 Ranger with all of the modern fixings. S30V blade, G10 scales, pocket clip, thumb studs, torx construction. This is my second Buck with S30V and I’m looking forward to comparing them with other S30V knives.

Notice my abundant first fruits from my jalapeño plant! This pic is for you @Armored farmer !

Ontario Pack Knife in Magnacut - $125 delivered.

Been hunting one of these for three years - you basically have to be looking at your e-mail when the notification they're restocked is sent out and then check out within a minute or two tops. To me this is the nicest-looking engraving CRK does on a knife.

Prometheus Design Werx exclusive Sebenza 31, their Special Projects Division X Wave engraving. Got lucky on this one as well, PDW was still listing them as S45VN, but when they showed up... lo and behold! MagnaCut!

In Cabela's ... A Kershaw Cryo 1555tix was hanging on a display , looking like a tough little Bulldog of a knife , short , squat and heavy built ... 2.75 " blade ... the color is dark but not black ... titanium carbo-nitride coating blade and frame , speed-safe assisted opening and frame lock and it's nicely shaped drop point just called out ...Hey ! Take me home with you ! And you know when they call out ... you gotta take them home .
I like this Bulldog of a knife , solid feel and not too long for clipping on/in front pocket .
The best part ... $39.95 price ... worth every penny !
The color is listed as grey ... but it's a nice shade og grey !

Leatherman and Swiss Army Boy Scout knife.jpg
That’s my new Leatherman K2 multitool at the bottom of the picture, and my old Wenger Swiss Army knife at the top. I’ve probably carried that Swiss Army “Boy Scout” knife for 12 or 15 years, and there’s seldom been a day go by when I haven’t used at least one of the blades (except for the can opener). I use the awl as a nut pick (I eat a lot of nuts), the bottle opener for my daily allowance of 1-2 beers, the screwdriver as a small scraper and for when I take the air cleaners off our lawn mower, tiller, and pasture mowers, and I use the “sharp” blade for everything sharp blades are normally used for.
Lately though, I’ve become frustrated every time I’ve had to open a bag of fertilizer or mulch because it takes two hands to open my trusty ol’ Boy Scout knife. So, when I saw this Leatherman K2 on Amazon, I was interested - it has the same tools as my Boy Scout knife (except for the can opener), plus it has a Phillips. AND I can open it with one hand.
Anyway, the knife pouches are my own creations, but the big one for the Leatherman was a mistake. I’ll have to redesign it because this one hangs down too far. It’s fine as long as I’m on my feet, but it gets in the way like the electricians pouch I wore for 30+ years when I try to sit down.
The Leatherman K2 came with a reversible pocket clip (on the "FREE" envelope) but I removed it because the tool is a little “bulky” (IMO) for pocket carry. Besides, I enjoy building leather knife scabbards/pouches.
I’ve actually learned how to “flick my wrist” to open the main blade (rather than using the thumb hole) and my wife was duly impressed. She said, “The next thing you’re going to be doing is holding your gun sideways when you shoot!”:D

@Flat Rock

I'm willing to bet that if you made a folder, it would be just as good!

Don't underestimate yourself, we've all seen your work!

I used to bug John aka Kuraki, on arfcom about buying a folder from him. He PM'd me one day and asked if I was still interested?

He made these per customer, elmax blade, ti liner and CF scales. He did a couple different versions per customers wishes.

Let me know when you make your own folder, I'll take #1.

It just so happens that I am doing that very thing!
I'm gonna hold you to that!

Let's get a little perspective. The machinery needed to make that folder is pretty expensive. Then there's the materials. THEN the knowledge and skill of the craftsman comes in. So it isn't just a question of Flat Rock making a folder, but having the means to. Respect the reason he bought the knife from Spartan instead of making it. ;)

Traded my drop point for a Tanto point. 👍🏻
