I recently got my first Hinderer. I love this thing and it has taken over my front pocket for full time carry duty. It feels very secure in the hand, and quality is top notch. I think I found my new favorite :)

Hinder Eklipse

I go between several Kershaw's, Spyderco's and the Benchmade Mini Griptillian with D-2 steel. But it seems the Benchade wins most often. Although there are qualities about the others that I like. It just depends on the situation.

Edit:
Honorable mention goes to the Delica4. Similar style knife in a smaller, lighter package.

Yes, I am a Spyderco fanboy. I have the other big brands too, but none compare. Many people steer away from Spyderco due to the unique appearance. I was that way once too. Then on a whim, tried one. OMG! The SpyderHole is the most perfect idea the folding knife world has seen. IMO, of course.

I have many knives but the 2 that I go no where without are my Victorinox mini knife and my Benchmade Mini Griptilian.

Just looked at those Hinderer knives. They're awesome. Then I looked at the prices. :what:

My daily carry is a full sized Benchmade Ascent (long discontinued). It's backup is an AlMar Eagle or an old Henckels folder that looks like a Case Sodbuster (but much, much sharper...). I also keep a new Griptillian with special lanyard as an emergency blade on my skiff (coated with grease, brand new, in a plastic sleeve to protect it from saltwater....

Working out of a small skiff in the saltwater portions of the Everglades I've had learn more than I ever wanted to about corrosion.

My Cold Steel X2 Voyager I like a large blade. We have traveled America together when trucking . Never been a problem in lower 48 with LEO's

I guess mine would have to be this old Benchmade AFCK.
(Advanced Folding Combat Knife)

It's rode many a mile in my pockets for a lot of years.
If there is a better knife, I haven't found it yet.

The only thing that would make it better is if it had the Axis Lock instead of a liner lock.

It's just right in too many ways to figure it out!

PS: But the one I had been EDC'ing for the last three months is a Coast BX-309 from Home Depot for $9.95!!

The sucker just keeps on cutting with next to no sharpening.

For me, it's a "dead heat" finish.

Either/both are my favorite of all time. Being general prying-scraping-wedging tools as much if not more than cutting tools, these have been flawless for me.

Each is exceptionally well made.
Each is supported by outstanding customer service.
Each holds a weirdly stable re-sale/trade value should it come to that though in this case, each was a gift; one from the maker and the other from my-gal-Sal so sale/trade is moot.

I carry a big Benchmade auto AFTK I believe. Stays sharp and has enough weight to feel very good in my large hands. Mine has the 1/2 serrtted blade. I wish it was all standard blade. I don't carry it much any more, it was pretty costly when I bought it. I'd feel really bad if I lost it. So for most days tasks I carry a Milano auto stilleto. Not near the knife but I wouldn't choke up if I lost it.

I own many knives but my favorite daily carries are my Opinels.
I like the carbon steel varieties for daily chores and they are inexpensive.

My usual is a Spyderco Tenacious and my Sunday knife is a Kershaw Chill. The Chill is just a greased lightning opener and ended my yearning for ever wanting a switchblade.

My Opinel 12 is kitchen duty on fruits and vegtables.

Right now it's a Cold Steel XL Voyager, clip point. I use that thing for everything. After using it a lot over many months, I think this when I use my other knives: I can't use that knife. That knife's too small to cut stuff.

My S&W tactical tanto

$10 used at a milsurp store

Very light, easy to carry with grippy grip surface for sure handling

Colt CT591

This cheap D2 steel folder gets the most time
in my pocket. Simple and not intimidating anyone.
