What is your favorite rifle?

It would be awfully hard for me to name a true favorite, but I can probably narrow it down to three.

My Falkor Omega in 6.5 CM is the most accurate AR pattern rifle I have ever seen. It’s heavy. It’s long and it is the most impractical rifle I own, but I love it. 32D92D9E-BF60-4439-A736-5D3DFC1C7731.jpeg

My Ruger No. 1 International in 30-06 is the ugliest No. 1 I’ve ever owned, but it has some sentimental value and it makes for a great hunting rifle.

And finally is the rifle I’ve taken the most animals with. I’ve been pig hunting with this 6.8 SPC build since 2016 I think. It has our charity’s logo engraved on it and it was built for me by one of our clients. It’s probably the last rifle I would ever part with.

Hard to pick a favorite.
I love my 7mm Mauser. It's so nice shooting, and so capable for such an under rated round.
My .243 in my most accurate.
My AR has to be the one I'm the most comfy with in my hands, having packed one like it around for 28 years in uniform.
My tastefully modified Lee Enfield always gets attention, and it does shoot both fast, and nice.

Going by how much pure fun it is to shoot... I'll have to say my Chiappa 1892 Alaskan takedown in .44 mag.
It's hard to beat the fun of cowboy history with the unmatched quickness of the red dot sight.

Rem 700 BDL Stainless ".270. It's not a fancy, expensive custom rifle, but I've accurized it and it shoots one-holers any day of the week. I also used it to shoot a buck that ran under my tree stand and stopped to look back and saw me move to pick up the rifle, which was laying on the small table-top of the hand-made stand, so I grabbed it and mounted it, left-handed, fired at the now, running buck and hit it in the spine. It went down, but tried to get up, so put another one to finish the job, this time, right-handed.

I've been looking for an 881 for a while. Id love to find an older one like that. they just look right to me. My buddy had an 883 he sold a while back. He offered it to me real reasonable, but...I'd never use it because of caliber so I let someone else enjoy it.

love the tube fed bolts.

1949 Winchester 62a. If everything was stolen and one firearm was left, I'd appreciate it if you would leave this one. My Dad got it when he was a kid and my brother and I used it a little when we were kids.

Two faves…Glenfield 60 I bought on my 18th birthday, box-stock except for 4x leupold and swivels, and a Rem. 760 30/06 w/ 2-7 Burris. I call this my “rescue gun”.
Purchased it used/somewhat abused (prev. owner had dishonored it with a spray-can camo job) cleaned up and refinished, it’s at least presentable now.
Neither one is anything fancy, but both just “feel right”, I don’t have a better way to explain it.

H.S. Precision built this for me back in 2007. 22-250 in 8 twist. I used to shoot prone match's with it, but now its too heavy to hold up for my old bones. I pull it out once a year to run some rounds through it and it still groups like it did when new.

View attachment 1165563I certainly hope that this becomes a favorite rifle.
A 45-70 Handi-Rifle for our brand new upcoming Straightwall cartridge deer hunting laws. We have been slugs, revolvers, and muzzleloaders until this year.
I have taken Illinois deer in every legal manner. I am looking forward to my first centerfire rifle buck.
There's nothing in that picture that I don't like. Awesome set-up. What are the binocs?
