I'm not brand-loyal by any stretch. Typically, I buy what catches my eye in the store, but I don't much care for (yet) striker-fired guns unless there is some sort of novelty or other "value" to them.

I like all-metal (all-steel is even better) guns with a double-action, hammer-fired operation capability.

I have two DA/SA pistols, a S&W compact and a Ruger full size
I have one polymer framed striker fired pistol, a Taurus compact
And one polymer framed DAO pistol, a Kel-Tec compact
And one J-frame revolver, a S&W

My handgun collection is a bit chaotic.

@TennJed

I am glad i can view them as tools AND a hobby I enjoy and designs i can appreciate.

As am I; viewing guns as "tools first" is different from viewing them "exclusively as tools."

I lost all my guns in a boating accident, so...if anyone in the government thinks they need to know...they're all at the bottom of the ocean.

Being rather "mature" I'll just describe mine as STEELE.

Range favorites: 1911s, from RIA, Colt, and Baer, .45acp and 9x19 chamberings
Most often carried CCW: Shield 9mm
Most common brand in current collection: Glock
Most common caliber in current collection: 9x19

Five years ago, I didn't own a single Glock nor any 9x19s. Things change. Current collection of handguns is dominated by autoloaders. The few revolvers are all S&W.

4 S&W DA/SA Revolvers ranging in age from 1 year old to 93 years old
2 Ruger DA/SA Revolvers

1 S&W 1911
1 Striker fired Polymer by SA
1 Hammer fired Poly from HK, soon to be followed by a VP9
1 WC/Beretta 92 Brig Tac

2 antique European revolvers I don't shoot

So I guess I'm a S&W Wheel Gun fan.......... but I knew that.

My preferences are as follows:

Semi-autos - Sig Sauer (1 P229 Extreme), HK (1 HK45c), Glock (1 G19)
1911 - Kimber (1 Pro CDP II)
Revolvers - Smith & Wesson (1 Model 69)

My collection is mostly revolvers, with a few semis thrown in also.

Most common caliber is 357 Magnum.

Most dominant brand is Ruger.

But I am coming around to the plastic world. My two newest to me handguns are both glocks. Both 9x19. One is my EDC(G26).

No S&W's currently. But as soon as the right deal presents it self, I wouldn't mind having a K or L frame 357 to go with my Rugers.

Just recently was relicenced after letting it expire many years ago. Only interested in the 9mm semi-auto for right now.
Mp9c - Shield - Ruger Sr9c & my favorite, VP9.

Trigger9

I'm not partial to any one company or caliber, but looking over my gun collection I seem to be a fan of Ruger\SW revolvers and Savage bolt action rifles without even realizing it. I also seem to have a thing for the 357 Magnums and the 45-70 Gove cartridge, but I'm not a fanboi of any one brand or caliber. At least I'd like to think I''m not
