Kimber Target II

Kimber Target II in 9mm - five touching holes at 25 yard off hand.

Rimfire, Sig Hammerli Trailside

Centerfire, Smith 686+ 4". Scary accurate. Wolff spring kit and general cleanup inside. A lot of people have shot all or most of my guns, and the Smith 686 is by far the favorite.

I love the Dan Wesson 1911 Commander Bobtail, but even with the alleged match barrel, it's not the most accurate at all.

all-right, I had to go make a target, 25 yards, .357Sig in a sig 229 2 hands unsupported

first group was great

2nd group (marked 3rd) tried to speed things up

3rd group (marked 2nd) I adjusted my sight picture (I just got this gun out of it's 10 day wait tonight)

4th group, I am playing with my grip

5th group, 4 rounds touching (inside .664) with 1 flyer 1.06 inches high, i am starting to figure this gun out

lastly, the 10 rounds to the head, I am very happy, 8 rounds touching, and 2 rounds 0.6" low..... love this gun

sry, my gun is much better than my camera :p

most accurate hands down are remington xp100 they are really SBR though
high standard or s&w 41 22 auto, walther match 22
next any good smith or ruger 38/357 revolver
40 sw, 45acp gold cup, les baer 1911 etc

2" group shooting single action off a sandbag at 100 yards, (not 25) would be my Taurus Tracker .17 HMR with an 8" barrel and a 3x9 scope

My T/C Contender .223 with 14" barrel and 2X7 T/C scope. Before diabetes started wrecking my eyesight, it shut up a lot of loudmouth rifle shooters at 100 yrds.
My 6" Python is my most accurate revolver. My S&W Model-17 is a very close second.
My CZ-75BD is the most accurate auto I've ever shot.

Toss Up S&W 1911 5" bbl. & a S&W 625 5" Bbl.
both Stainles w/Hogue Rosewood grips Some days
I shoot the semi-auto better, some days the revolver

THe 625 was sent to S&W for the Master Revolver Action Job

Accurate?

My Pardini Free Pistol. Don't have the test target but it was less than 1/2" at 50 m.....kind of like the Morini FP referred to earlier.

It would be a toss up between these three.

Tanfoglio 1911
S&W Model 19 shooting the wadcutter target loads or the 158 gn LRN cowboy loads
My Iver Johnson Woodsman clone. Yeah, yeah, I know it's a cheap hunk o' junk but MAN! IT REALLY PATTERNS WELL! ! ! !

All three shot freestyle really make me shine if I settle down and concentrate like none of my other guns can do. This includes my beloved CZ's and my other revolvers.

I recently got a S&W Model 17 but I was just getting used to it when the cylinder release knob broke off. I've got the parts now but haven't gotten it together to try it out some more. The little I did shoot with it showed it to be a champ but I'll have to play with the different ammos to find the one it likes best.

My MKIII, I know that there is more accurate stuff out there, but I'm able to get a ragged one hole target at the end of a range session, with the crummy stock trigger, so, Its my best for now.

Most accurate? Ruger Standard Model .22 Auto followed closely by a Ruger Security Six .357 and a Rossi 971 comp. .357 The others are all accurate enough for their purposes but those 3 are the tiny group guns.

Rimfire would be the Ruger MKII..4-5/8" barrel

Centerfire is the 50th-Year .357 Blackhawk, then probably my Springfield 'Loaded Champion' 1911. Still haven't found the best load yet for my "Sheriff's Model" 3-3/4" (or so) barreled fixed-sight Vaquero

Most accurate pistol I own or have owned is my S&W Model 52 Masterpiece pistol in 38 Spl. Shoots only wad cutter ammunition, but will put five shots into one ragged hole at 25 yards. Will out shoot my Model 41 22 LR target pistol easily. :)

Great thread

I have not had the opportunity to shoot many of the high end pistols here but have shot a few pistols.

Shot:

SIG 226 9mm, SIG228 9mm, SIG239 9mm,
Glock 26, Glock 19,
Beretta 92, Stoeger Cougar 9mm,
RIA 1911 .45acp, RIA 1911 9mm,
Ruger SR9c,
Colt .45acp, Caspian .45acp
and ...my new Kimber Custom II .45acp.

Of the above, my new Kimber Custom II is the most accurate centerfire, followed by the Caspian. Perhaps even. Really love the Kimber.

Amazingly accurate for their size were the Ruger SR9c and Glock 26, for some reason. More than the G19 or SIG 226 (which was old). Both RIA's were excellent for the price.

Most accurate rimfire would be my Ruger MKIII Hunter, 4-5/8" barrel, stainless. Better with it than any other .22lr I have tried..though have not tried a Buckmark.

My best to all

J

My Les Baer Premier II Super Tac. It is easily the most accurate in both absolute terms, and in terms of how accurate I am with it. I have a couple of guns that are more accurate than I am, but for some reason I consistently turn the smallest groups in with the Les Baer. I think it's just a function of how comfortable it is in the hand, how well it balances, and especially of how good the trigger is. If I could only own one pistol, this would be the one I'd keep.

Most accurate? One of my Buckmarks. For centerfire, it'd be my Kahr K9. It consistently outperforms my other options, despite its short barrel.
