Bobcats make a wide variety of sounds.

No. We don't have them. The winters are too hard for them here.

Armadillos are continuing to move into areas previously considered to be "too cold" for them such as Nebraska and Illinois. Winter may not be the limiting factor it is perceived to be.

yes, i read an article from Fish and Wildlife that armadillos are showing up in western kentucky. no reason they can't move to central kentucky. i have no idea what kind of sounds they make.

Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! This computer is in the back bedroom, and as I listened to that, my wife yelled at me from the living room. "Get your ____ in the bathroom!" she yelled.

Bobcat or Cougar would be my first guesses. You don't hear them much, which would explain your unfamiliarity with the call. Most of the strange stuff I hear turn out to be birds.

It's not exact, but it's a lot closer than anything else that has been suggested. And I know there are bobcats in the area; the landowner has seen them, and I've found their scat on the property.

I heard some of the strangest sounds in my life coming from a Bobcat. They do what they want to do when they want to do it. Even right beside my house. (when i lived in PA).

Every evening I hear a high pitched purring sound. I'm pretty sure it's a Bobcat or an Ozark Howler.

Hogs make all kinds of sounds from high to low pitched. Grunts, squeals, rumbles, growls, etc.

Heard a coon and barn cat get into it while deer hunting today.
