What 's on your soon to buy list

Have you looked at the Ruger GP? I just picked one up and swapped out the crap sights that come with, although a bit of shaving is required. With all the movement in a 357, it's a nice option for me.

Take cash to a gun show. Your 'next gun' often is something you don't discover until you spot it when you leave via a different aisle
(in a rear or side corner).

It would have been a Sauer 38H or maybe Sig 232 if found, but the excellent condition Yugo M 59 SKS was only seen when trying to leave.

Been thinking about a black powder revolver lately.
+1 on that. I want an Uberti 1860 Army.

But a 1968 Colt Police Positive Special jumped the line. I just put one on layaway last Sat., for next month. I've been looking for just the right one for years.

I need two holsters. I want to be able to cc my 3" 686+ and my commander size S&W 1911 (not at the same time mind you). Both holster need to be easy on the finishes of the guns.

For me, no more firearms for the moment. I am spending money on buying reloading equipment and components. So, for the next couple of years all monies are focused on reloading, and beer, and cornuts.

Add me to the BP revolver club! I've been eyeing an Uberti 1858 for a while...

I may be selling my AR to buy a CZ550 in 30-06...boy those are nice rifles!

I've got several gun related purchases in mind but I finally came to the conclusion that my next purchase needs to be a scope for the 6.8 I built a couple of years ago.

I already mentioned way back in post #6 that I had already made a purchase.

I just got back a barrel I had a LGS clean up and blue for me. Picked it up for a song on gunbroker and I'm going to make it the core for a rifle for my son.

It's a Marlin 783 .22 WMR barrel and magazine tube...nothing else. Probably cost me more in parts than it would just to buy one, but I want to make it a project for my son, maybe have it done in time for his 16th birthday next year. I figure I can do some custom shaping of the stock (mainly get rid of the Monte Carlo hump so it's easier to sight with iron sights) and do a little custom carving on it to make it personal.

All the rest is stuff like sights, bolt, tube magazine rod, magazine feed ramp, trigger/safety mechanisms.

I think I am going to pick up a FN 5.7 next. I don't have one in my collection and it would be a cool addition. I know my wife is buying me a new gun for Christmas but I don't know what kind it is. As a few other posters have said, sometimes I just stumble across a great deal and have to pick it up, even though it isn't on my "to buy" list. If that's the case the 5.7 will have to wait.

Well, now that i have a custom Ultra Lite Arms 22lr, i'm thinking an custom ULA "smokeless" muzzle loader should be next.

Let's see. I want a:

1. Savage Model 16 Weather Warrior in .223
2. T/C Contender barrel in .45-70
3. Snakes

I'll probably buy the first one I come across.

I'm feeling the need for another 9mm pistol. I'm kind of zeroing in on a CZ, currently got it narrowed down to a CZ75 BD or a P-01. I just need to narrow it down to if I want it more for a range toy or a carry gun. I'm tilting more towards the full-sized one now, but this probably means that I'll eventually end up with both if I can't really decide. Of course, if something totally different presents itself the CZ might have to wait. I still don't own a 10/22 and the empty spot in my safe next to my other .22 rifles seems to call to me at times...

A pair of Aimpoints for the two Colt ARs I just picked up this week. Gonna take a little while for the funds to replenish first. But I asked for some quality fixed irons for Christmas, so I will make do with the Magpul BUIS and then switch to the Daniel Defense A1.5 until I get the Aimpoints. I love irons though. Also thinking about getting a Lyman peep for my Mauser VZ24.

Look on http://www.gunwatcher.com/, Strut, there are some CZ's around. I have also been looking. But going to a show this weekend, so I may as well wait. Plus I have a bug for a Titan 45 "ATI" in stainless. I think with a couple hundred dollars I can make that gun as reliable as a much more expensive one. But whatever comes first, Buds had AK pistols today for 400$. It depends on what presents itself first. Just found out my XDS won't be back till FEB. So a 45 compact may be in the near future.

I have been looking at gunwatcher.com for the two CZs I mentioned. KY Gun Co. seems to have good deals on the CZ75 BD. I do need to finish my Christmas shopping and probably send some money to the NRA (get to that endowment level) before I plunk down cash on myself, but once I start feeling the need to get a gun (which isn't too often) it usually doesn't take long for me to get it.

I need a UK59 like I need a hole in my head (okay, bad phrasing), but the belt-BREN has my curiosity peaked more than most other guns these days (which isn't many at this point). Maybe the Boberg if some unexpected moolah comes my way.

Hmmmm, let's think about this. For starters, a 1911 of some sort, then maybe an AR, perhaps a DA revolver in .22 LR, possibly a Colt Anaconda to go with my King Cobra.........

Well, you get the picture.
