Guys,

I'm coming to the end of my supply of Power Pistol powder for 9mm, and am looking to try out the VihtaVuori powders. They seem to get high marks from many reloaders here.

Loading primarily 147gr FMJ, and 124gr-both FMJ and JHP (Speer).

What powders do you prefer for these bullets?
Thanks for the help.
Gerry

My #1 minor load uses plated 147’s and N310. For FMJ’s and JHP’s, minor I would use N320. If I was trying to “hotrod” them I would use 3N37 or 3N38.

I've never fooled with N310, but otherwise agree with what jmorris said. N320 is about the most enjoyable handgun powder to shoot there is.

N330 is right next to Power Pistol on the powder burn rate chart. N340 is a little slower and N320 is faster. I've had really good success in light loads with N340 and 135 to 147 grain lead bullet loads.

N330 isn't as common as N320 and N340 but Powder Valley has it in stock right now.

N320 for minor. N330 and N340 for full power loads. I load both 124 and 147, but ended up a bit shorter in COL than what VV publishes. For FMJs, it's usually some RMR variant.
