What's it worth

Depends on if its a legitimate antique or a reproduction.

Ive seen powder flasks anywhere from $15- a few hundred or more. Without any real details, its impossible to estimate.

Many reproductions made from mid 70s to mid 90s.
A bit of use and they begin to look like originals.

Most original shot flasks used a removable scoop in place of the lever release cut off and originals of this version rarely included cuts for two different shot weights as the cased guns these type flasks were used with were generally only proofed foe one specific load.

Original powder flasks also used a lever/plate cut off and a pull out powder drop or a very small pour spout and a seperate powder measure/dump.

Since powder and shot was generally charged in volumetric equals, a shot flask and a powder flask with pull out dumps could be used as either or and in cased sets one was identifiable from the other by being made of another metal or a different bag design.

If the flask is made of steel, it is ALWAYS used as a shot flask as steel is a sparking metal that could cause black powder to explode in the flask.

Originals will normally include a makers cartouche, usually on the bottom of the flask body and a purity stamp if the flask is made of precious metal.

If that flask is original, it must be the one used as a sample for reproduction because I have seen that exact type of flask offered as a reproduction.

From the single picture I would guess the flask is worth somewhere in the range of $75 to $100
