An easy poll, multiple picks, to determine the make up of the community.

There isn't an "All of the Above" option, so I completely nullified my answer by clicking them all.

Ill check the one that says

You own and shoot mostly military looking semi autos and mil surp rifles and hand guns

All right I voted. 25 long-5 handgun. But I have always had a "everything a pistol can do,a rifle can do better" mindset.

FLOD poll. About half-n-half.

I tried to count up my guns as best I could from memory, and I think I have two more long guns than I have handguns.

I don't think hunting is my primary purpose for shooting. Could be SD training, recreation, etc.

Couldn't vote.

I punch holes in targets with chunks of metal, sharp sticks, and pieces of rock.
The way that the sharp-thing-thrower is shaped isn't very important to me.
Throwing the sharp things and hitting the target is.

This is called fun.

Every time you go to the line in SASS you shoot 2 six guns, a rifle that holds 10 shots and a shotgun.

Then if you shoot IPSC you shoot a pistol, rifle and shotgun at three gun shoots.

I guess when I take the time to look at it I didn't vote correctly.

I marked them all, For they all apply to me. I own the same number of Handguns as Rifles, and shoot targets just as much as I Hunt!

"silly wets"

A parody of the word "Sillouette" often used by those who haven't the information or inclination to spell it correcly.

The above statement is not a dispariging remark about the OP, just a personal observation.

Is there anyone here who shoots things that aren't targets?

I believe that when you shoot something that isn't a target, it is called an "accident" or "negligent discharge".

or assault...or food

These polls are always more instructive about the mindset and assumptions of the poll taker than the respondents.

I'm diverse and well represented with long guns, shotties and handguns. Rimfire and centerfire. I hunt game, paper, cans, etc.

I own a little bit of everything. Shotguns, revolvers, pistols, rifles, lever actions. All groups are pretty well balanced out.

I picked mostely long guns, but I'm and avid hunter and firearms collector so I got a few handguns to. Actually come to think of it I almost have a handgun for each rifle.
