How do you store and organize ammo for all these calibers?
Do you even have ammo for all of them or are you just using some of those?

Why is it surprising. You buy a gun, a couple boxes of ammo and it adds up. It's not like you have to have a case on hand of every cartridge you have. Many times the odd ball gun is just to add to the collection and take it out when you get the urge.

Thats how you do it huh?
And when the shortage comes, you must be one of the guys crying all over the web that you cant find a box of .22. :banghead:

Actually description(s) have been concealed to prevent unauthorized addition to any unauthhorized LE lists.

Why do you even bother? No disrespect intended, but if you're that cautious about your "private" information, why even have a profile on a website for gun owners? Knowing what you have is relatively the same as knowing that you have at all, isn't it? I'm just trying to understand the logic behind that sort of post...

My personal footprint is limited:

Pistol:
.45 ACP

Rifle:
.22 LR
.30-06

Shotgun:
12 ga
20 ga

My dad and I share guns though, which opens up more

Pistol:
.22 LR
.38 sp
.357 mag
9mm
.44 SP

Rifle:
.17 WSM
A few more .22lr
.30 Carbine
.22-250
.30 WCF
.30-30 (Same as above, gun chambered in each)

Shotgun:
more 12 and 20

<<How do you store and organize ammo for all these calibers? >>

I reload all those except the .22lr/wmr
I put the cartridges in 4x6 4mil poly bags that I seal with a bag sealer. Those bags are then put into ammo cans. .30-cal cans for rifle, .50-cal cans for pistol rounds. The cans are all stacked against one wall. When I go to the range I just select bags out of the various ammo cans and toss them into my range bag. The system works well. Shotgun shells go into 5 gallon buckets. Haven't made shotgun rounds in a while as the price of shot is insane. Last time I bought shot it was $12 a bag.

<<Do you even have ammo for all of them or are you just using some of those? >>

Absolutely. Have and make ammo for them all.

<< And when the shortage comes, you must be one of the guys crying all over the web that you cant find a box of .22.>>

Not me. I planned ahead. Yep, my .22 is getting low, but not out. Plenty of everything else. Several guys in my office reload. We often group buy and do some horse-trading.

Nicely done! I figured somebody with so many calibers does not just grab two boxes of ammo with the gun purchase but will have a solid way to keep everything stored and organized. Kudos to you!

.22LR (strongly considering ditching it)
9mm

.243 Winchester
12 Gauge
20 Gauge
7.62x54r

I try not to have calibers that overlap in function. 7.62x54r is because it's super cheap and I just use it in a Mosin Nagant, and the 20 gauge is because a lady at WalMart gave me 20 instead of 12, so I just went with it and got a single shot to shoot it up. The only thing I'm considering adding is 5.56, 10mm, and maybe some sort of 6mm or 6.5mm, if I ever find a place to shoot extended ranges. I'd love to get into it, but nowhere to shoot.
