Whats your favorite 22 pistol and why?

SR22, good looking, feels good in the hand, eats anything I feed it and is just plain fun to shoot.

S&W 17/617

I own a lot of .22 pistols. At least a dozen. I have owned more in the past. In addition I have various .22 conversions for centerfire handguns. And, I shoot them all quite a bit. I have fired thousands of rounds through all of them. I have fired a brick of ammo through most of them in one day, more than once.

The 17 is my favorite.
Why I like it is hard to put into words. Accurate, smooth, looks good......... ??
I own two Model 17s and one 617.
When you own a bunch of .22 handguns and choose to buy three of the same basic pistol that speaks volumes.

FWIW: I own a High Standard Supermatic Trophy, so my most accurate .22 handgun is not my favorite. I would put it up against any .22 pistol every made.

I don't really have a favorite. I do like some guns more than others.

But the one gun I especially like is the Crimson Trace laser equipped Ruger SR22.
Having a back yard range where I can shoot during the day and shoot in low light and dark using the laser, the SR22 is shot more than all my other guns put together.

No telling how many Wal Mart 550 bulk packs have gone through this gun.
I can't remember a gun caused malfunction, even though I seldom clean it.
Ruger has a winner in the SR22.

I have a bunch of nice .22s, but my favorite is the Daewoo DP52. It is an all steel clone of the Walther PP, only it's a bit more refined and reliable. Never gives me any problems, accurate as can be and has a nice trigger. It's only flaw is being hard to find. I wish the new Lionheart line included this one too.

My Daewoo.

I got the target model for HS graduation. I have picked up the others here and there. Accurate, light, reliable, what's not to like.

Ruger MKI (Standard). Very accurate, feels great in my hand, and it was my uncle's. Plus, it looks like it's NIB.......but is 40 years old.

My Ruger Mark III fluted hunter.

Why? It's accurate, fast, and eats anything I feed it. Plus, I can see the sights. If I can just keep my daughter from stealing it!

Have to mention the Browning Buckmark - my first and favorite. Ultra reliable and extremely accurate.

PMR-30, for obvious reasons and the trigger. Never pulled one? It's the definition of crisp. I got one for my dad, but I'm getting one for myself.

FEG of Hungary AP-22. It's essentially a rimmire version of their PA-63 pistol. Solid, deeply-blued, and quite sturdy. Feels good in the hand (I miss all-steel guns.)

Ruger 22/45 target. It's accurate and easy to repair or replace parts as needed. Fits me well and I can't remember the last time it malfuctioned.
This may be the easiest pistol for me to hit with than any other I own which says a lot. Of the four 22 pistols I have two are 22/45's. one SR22 and one Single Six Bisley but, the Target 22/45 has a familiarity for me that the others lack for whatever reason.

Love the 22 Makarov. Wow didnt know they made one.

I made the mistake of selling a Mark III stainless fluted hunter before i actually knew how to shoot.

Mine is a very old Ruger. Hasn't ever let me down

For plinking; a Beretta Model 87 ... handles and strips like any full size double action, utterly reliable with all ammo, all steel.

For target; S&W Model 1891 single shot ... I still need to make a new set of grips for this one.
