I have H4350 but it's price keeps climbing,,,

What about V.V. powder for the 6.5CM? (Usage will be accuracy/bench work w/140 gr projectiles.)

I ordered a pound of N550.

What V.V. powder are you using in 6.5CM? Any love out there for the N1xx single base series?

Thanks,

Don’t currently load for the Creedmoor, but I do like the VV powders. I’m going to say probably N150 and N160 are going to be great. For what it’s worth, My 308, loves N150.

Haven’t tried V.V. Yet in my 6.5 CM as IMR 4350 is doing great with 140 gr Hornady SST’s. Gonna try Varget next and will keep an eye on this thread for possible V.V. suggestions

Ramshot Big Game powder is usually a bit cheaper and easier to find than others and is a good substitute for anything you'd use H4350 for. A few years ago I was running low on H4350 and couldn't find any. I worked up a load for my 6.5CM with Big Game and it showed promise of being just as good. But shortly after that I was able to get a good supply of H4350 so I didn't really pursue it after that. I've used it in 30-06 with similar good results.

N150 and N160

I believe I had N150 in my cart but swapped it for N550 at the last minute. N160 looked good too, but can't say it was in stock,,,

Look at their free online data...

Absolutely! That's where I researched before I purchased the 550

So why did I go w/550 over 150? No particular reason, and I'll keep an eye out for N150/N160 for my next batch.

Thanks everyone!

If I’m remembering correctly, and I am going off of memory, so you know what to blame if I am incorrect :), I believe in 150 is one of the most temperature stable powders that is around. I think it’s kind of right up there with H 4350 and H 4831.

They tout it as one of their most stable N-100 series powders.

It is also one of our most temperature insensitive powders,

I have some, haven't tried it yet.
