What's your "go to" .270 powder for accuracy? How many grains?

Summary of my situation:

I tried very hard to develop an accuracy load for my Sako .270. The best I could achieve was a 2 MOA average with a pretty wide variety of bullets and powder. I have found success developing loads for other rifles. The Sako is having some work done to it and I will be starting over with load development when I get it back. I'd rather not go through all the pain from the beginning and would like to start with what has been proven to work by others.

I will be using Sierra 130 gr. SP bullets and Remington LR primers. Powders I have on hand:

H4350
RL19
IMR 4831
IMR 4350 (not much left)

These powders I have but don't consider suitable:
IMR 4064
Varget
W 760

I would use the H4831sc for the 130 gr bullet. 57.0 grains of powder would be moving around 3000 fps. According to my Nosler reloading book it is the most accurate powder tested.

Thanks for that. I almost never find the best accuracy at max load. I use the Hornady book and what bothers me is they don't list an accuracy load or a hunting load like some other books - just a bunch of powders and velocities..

I've had good results with IMR 4831, IMR 4350, H4350, H4831 and RL 19 with 130 grain Sierra BTSP. IMR 4831 and RL19 was more accurate in my gun, a model 700. I have a 270 WSM Model 70 and it prefers H4350. I've shot a few 150gr with IMR 4831 with good results

I've been using W760 in 270 with 130 grain bullets for over 30 years in 3 different rifles. Best accuracy with average of 3160 FPS from 24" factory barrels in Model 70 Winchesters and an old Herters XK3. 53.5 gr. with standard primer in Winchester cases for year round use. Velocity was checked on a hot day so it will be lower for elk season, but it works!!!!!!!!!

Winchester. I always thought if you didn't designate, Winchester was the defacto standard.

What is wrong with IMR 4064? It shoots quite well in the 270 Winchester.

I tried H4350 in an iron sighted pre 64 M70. It shot well. None of these loads are clocking at warp speed in my rifle.

RL-22 56.8 grains, WLR primer, Hornady brass, 130 Hornady Interbond bullet, 2834 fps 28" T/C Encore. Average group 3 shot .893 at 100 yards. Average 5 shot group 1.012" also at 100. Bullet seated to .015 off lands.

Rl-22 doubles as my powder of choice for the .300 winchester magnum. Kinda nice to have two guns that like the same powder.

My favorite was H450 (remember ?).
After lots of testing, I am now using RL-22.

Used to work in a gun shop years ago. I learned not to assume anything. You should see what goes on with some calibers in the general public. Ammo for a 300 mag is a classic example, 7mm is another.

IMR 4831 or a powder of similar burn rate. I do not like faster powders in the 270 Win. I am not going to post my pet load, but highly recommend you start low with any powder in this cartridge. I had some powders go to extreme pressure with light loads while working up a load for the 270. I was loading for 3 different rifles, and found that they were not all happy with the same load. What went well in one was overpresure in another.
