What's your "fun gun"

Tough choice

Right now it would be a toss-up between my .577 Snider-Enfield, my baby Sharps in .44RM, My .36 underhammer pocket rifle (brand new, just built by me), or my Martini-Greener Navy Arms .45-70. Attaching pics of the pocket rifle and the Snider, which was my first gun at age 11.

Looks like the pocket rifle didn't post, so I'll try again. In case you haven't heard the term, a pocket rifle is essentially a long-barreled pistol with a removable buttstock.

My AR, M1 and 20 gauge coach gun are my fun long guns.

Handguns would be my Cimarrons. Model P 5.5" and Thunderer 3.5". Both in .45 Colt. Not sure if I've mentioned those before.:D

Now the rest of 'em? Can't stand shooting them.

I'd have to say my AR15, no wait its my Sig 1911-22, wait, it's my 300 Blackout, then again there is my M&P 22, wait I'd say the funnest gun is the Ruger 10-22, but then there is that SKS.......Hard to say....

Pistols bore me lately so i'd say whatever rifle I can shoot slow and get some impressive groups or one that is difficult to group tight because of the challenge. Model 60 .22,sub 2k(this one is hard at 75-100yds), M44 mosin, Accurized AR.

I like shooting my old Gamo pellet rifle at long distances. It's a dinosaur and wasn't great to begin with but shooting cheapo pellets 75yds 10' of holdover at cans is fun.

Depends on the range and goal.

<100yds- 22lr any of them bouncing golf balls around is great fun!
100-300yds small targets- .223 AR just to let others break the clays so I can bust the pieces.
300-500- Either my .257Roberts in a 98 Mauser or the soon to be ripped apart LR308 (which will become the below).
>500 the not yet built .257Roberts on the 308's platform. I am pulling in pieces and drooling already for when I get the barrel (24" threaded).

One of the 870's, most likely. Probably the Wingmaster.

When I think of plinking, just messing around with a shotgun comes to mind. Doesn't matter if I'm just hitting steel targets or clays, shotguns are probably my ultimate "fun" gun.

Somebody else fell for it, hook, line and sinker.
If you didn't "like firearms" or something about them, you would not have made over 3.300 posts, on THR alone....

That's not necessarily true.

Every forum I have ever been on has had resident trolls.

It's not one gun but a set of three,,,

I call it my Box-O-Beretta's.

A 4.5" NEOS with open sights,,,
A 6.0" NEOS with a holographic optic,,,
A 16.25" NEOS Carbine kit with a red dot optic.

If I'm going to the range just to chase tin cans,,,
This is the box of guns I grab over all others.

It's astounding how fast one can burn through a 550 round bulk pack.

My Saiga 12 probably. However different days different guns appeal to me more. Some days I just crave to shoot black powder, some days revolvers, some days Mosins, Glocks, AK's, AR's, etc. :D

Especially when you've got enough magazines between all your pistols to load up a sizable chunk of that 550 round bulk pack in one go-round.

:D

Even at 50 rounds at a time with my just wife's bolt action, it didn't take my youngest daughter long at all to burn through most of a bulk pack.
