Also, with the Repulicans holding the Whitehouse, Senate, and House, am I wrong in assuming had his SCOTUS nominee will be quickly confirmed?

Look at it happening mid spring. Likely another will be needed early next fall, hopefully we will get two more on board in the next year or three.

At least 2 should be named in Trump's first term. I would love to see the ultra gun friendly Mike Lee of Utah on the bench.

Ted Cruz has a difficult personality, but his 2A credentials are beyond dispute. Ted in black robes would be a fashion upgrade for him.
