Is that bad? I swear I've bought 10mm bullets from RMR that looked like that. Pretty sure that they were RMR's in house bullets. But maybe not.. They preformed well I thought.

Thanks for posting. Whether I actually get them or not this is my first time getting through the checkout process. 2k large magnum primers will set me up very well.

I apologize for not contacting you sooner and for the delay in shipping your order. We under estimated the shipping times based on the volume of orders that we received. Our goal is to have all of the August orders completed within the next 3 to 4 weeks and then we will start on the September orders. We are processing orders just as quickly as we can.

If you do not want to wait, just let me know and I can issue you a refund.

We appreciate your patience.

Thank you,

I have recently started seeing some stores limit some component purchases. Scheels in The Colony, TX are limiting primer purchases to 300 of any type (they even removed primers from their website, last I looked). A couple of the Academy Sports in the Austin area were limiting people to 500 (Georgetown) and 200 (Round Rock). Stopped at a LGS in the Dallas area and they were limiting purchases to 1k of any type unless you also bought bullets in which case you could have another 1k if you bought 1k bullets to go with them.

Thanks for the heads-up.

I guess Scheel's cut out the option for purchasing primers online for in-store pickup by removing primers from their website?

Sounds like Academy doesn't have a consistent policy applied equally across all their stores WRT primer purchase limits. There are some stories in the primer product reviews about the same thing happening earlier this year, even not being consistent from day to day or shift to shift at some store locations depending who was working at a store at any particular point in time.

I don't think inconsistent policy limits on products are a good idea for any retailer. I hope Academy gets a better handle on this, they've had plenty of time to consider this.

It looks that way. I had a close look at Scheels' site and primers aren't listed anywhere.

It is interesting that Academy seem to have policies in place to limit the purchase of ammunition during panics but apparently no thought has been given to reloading components. I guess it is not a significant enough portion of the business to have necessitated scrutiny by corporate.

For those in the DFW area (or passing through), Southwest Ammunition Supply Co. In Mesquite have primers and a good selection of Hodgdon powders as well as other components and ammunition. Although most of the powder is Hodgdon, I did see some Ramshot and Alliant on the shelves but no Vihtavouri. I heard the guy tell a customer they would not quote prices over the phone but I purchased 1k of WLP and 1k of CCI #300 for ~$20 over the pre-panic prices and a pound of TiteGroup for a few dollars over the pre-panic price. They are limiting powder purchases to 2 1# jugs but do have a number of 4# jugs of various powders for sale as well (not sure about the limits on 4# purchases).

Midway has lots of powder
I had to check this out , not because i needed powder , but because of old times sake. Within the last week I've been in 3 large to middling size bass pro shops, maybe 4 or 5 one pound jugs of powder in each. Cheez. Maybe it was the day and time of day I went in. Yes, Midway certainly has the powder now, thanks for posting.

Brownells has 1lb and 8lb kegs of H335 in stock as of today in case anyone needs some.

Did have earlier on, but it appears by the constant reduction in size of their reloading departmet 'in store', they may be phasing out of it all-together.
