Yes, the post by bds just below yours shows Natchez having PowerPro 300-MP, which is reported to be the same powder, per the December issue of Guns and Ammo.

latest Guns & Ammo Magazine (December 2013), Pg. 28, "Propellant Powerhouse" written by Layne Simpson, says "W296, H110 and Alliant's Power Pro 300-MP are identical spherical magnum revolver propellants made at the same facility."

Walkalong, you may have found another powder to load your .300 BLK.

Lately the only way I've been able to get powder and primers is in person. Sometimes this means long distance; last time I had to make a round trip of 300 miles to get the powder I wanted.

You'd think that with the links from this thread and considering the cost of your gas that you could have saved the 5 hours driving by ordering it online and paying the hazmat fee(s).

i didn't know 300-MP is the same as H110/W296. the local shop had some slightly overpriced 1 lb bottles of 300-MP, so i bought a couple to try out.

this is for an M1 carbine. anyone have experience with the standard 15.0 gr under 110 gr FMJ with 300-MP? similar velocity?

Cabela's in Buda, TX

Went there yesterday at lunch to see what they had in stock (I had the employee discount coupon with me, too...) and there were lots of primers, plenty of rifle and pistol projectiles, but very little powder. It's the first time I've seen them selling primers in single packs, too.

I was looking for Blue Dot, but haven't been able to find any locally, and don't really want to pay another hazmat fee unless I can get a lot of BD. Pretty much stocked up on primers and projectiles, so specific powders are what I'm scouting.

bds - thank you for continuing to post updates here, I really appreciate the great info and tips. This thread has become one of my daily stops, in hopes that I may be able to learn about availability for the stuff I'm short on.
