For those in the Seattle-Tacoma area, Sportco had 800-x, Silhouette and HS-6 on the shelf on Monday, and still some there on Wednesday! Pistol powders haven't lasted more than a couple hours on the shelves in a couple years. I left it for others, as I am pretty well set. Things are easing, slowly.

Yesterday was a tough one for me, waiting for folks to buy-up all of that powder. Twice I created orders only to nuke them.

What I have on-hand will last me a LONG time but it has been so long since this stuff has been readily available that my knee-jerk response is to load up way beyond reason.

Thank goodness (for me) that most of it is gone now.

I think I'm good, they are still showing 8 pounders...I understand about beyond reason... between, this BE-86, HP-38, Unique, Tite group, Bullseye, HS-6, Acc #2, Acc #5, and a few others, I may have 2 lifetime supplies on hand. Which means about a year or two the way I burn it up! Still I continue to buy, and primers as well. I'm glad to report that I cant remember the last time I couldnt find any, now prices even seem to be going down as well.

I'm going to the gun show in Raleigh, NC tomorrow. There is supposed to be Titegroup for $20, and 700x for less than that. Primers under $28 as well. I'm still looking for a few pistol powders I have not tried yet, like Blue Dot and True Blue. I'm hoping I find some AA#2 and #5.

That may simply be the result of most reloaders being unfamiliar with this flavor of propellant.

We are some of the lucky ones who received an early Heads-Up and have had a chance to try it and develop a respect for the product.

I've really have a enough, but I would love to try a pound. Just hate spending over $50 for shipping. That is just a lot of $ to try a new type. I can get a couple of other items, but darn the shipping hurts.

In my (and many others' here) opinion, ab-so-lute-ly!

And, yeah, that HAZMAT fee on top of a not-inexpensive-by-itself regular shipping charge can be daunting.

I try to build order totals of at least $250 in order to, somewhat, dilute the cost.

I went to the dayton gun show for primers yesterday, CCI and winchester standard flavors were $27 each when you buy atleast a sleeve. Powder availability was pretty much anything you could want, pounders were ~$27 and kegs ~$210. I really wanted to finalize and even out my component stash with an 8 pounder of H110, but im not paying $210. Ill wait until the lgs has it for $50 less.
