PathfinderSports.com for bullets (cheapest prices I've found, and shipping is FREE on orders over $70).Eveything else I get from the local Bi-Mart.Good prices, and no shipping there either....just the cost of gas for a 10 minute drive.
I've been ordering components almost exclusively from Cabelas lately. Their prices are competitive with MidwayUSA, and the shipping is much more reasonable (they charge by order total, regardless of the weight of the item). Right now Cabelas has a sale on Laser-Cast & Hornady bullets, so I've been stocking up.
Midway has always been a favorite but their prices seem to be quite a bit higher for "non-sale" items lately. Of the one's listed one I use that's not been mentioned is:
I like them as a company . their website absolutely sucks. If you've got a hardcopy of their catalog it's pretty easy to use their website to order. FWIW.
Midway for me, they are da-bomb. I've always recieved my order 2 days after I submit the order, that's fast. I don't have a reason to shop anywhere else. I also like the fact that I can order a box of 2000 357 bullets for $140, or 3000 40 S&W bullets for $225 with free shipping, these are Rainier's. No one else does that.
So far, I've purchased all of my bullets/brass from ebay. Example:
I got 2600pcs of .40 S&W brass for $47 shipped (1.8 cents each)
I got 1800pcs of Berry 180gr .40 plated bullets for $117 shipped (6.5 cents each).
My next powder/primer purchase will be from powder valley. I could save about 30% over purchasing locally if I go ahead and buy 8lbs of powder and 5000 primers at once.
I save all of my brass, plus whatever else is in the lane at the range. My completed .40 S&W cartridges are under 10 cents each, which is about half the cost retail. If I had access to a free range, I could shoot all I want to for about $15-20 a week.
Speaking of Sinclair, I just got an e-mail from Brownell's saying that they have agreed today to buy out Sinclair. Looks like they will both stay in business, just share each other's product lines.
Some may remember that Midway use to have free shipping on everything including bullets. I think their pricing was better too. Since then, I rarely order from them anymore.
Brownells decision to get into reloading is a good one. Maybe it will put pressure on Midway to lower their prices.
Whiz, yep I got the same email. I think it's gonna be a good thing. I've been to Sinclair and their operation is first rate, nice location, very clean operation. They are definitely shooters/reloaders. Service is outstanding too.
I haven't visited Brownells,, yet, but my business experience with them has been outstanding also.
