The best one is the one that shoots best from your rifle. All around best ammo I've found that is in the lower price range is Eley Sport. Shoots well in almost all my rf's but you do get a strange flier now and then so it is not what you'd want a competition shoot. For general use it is decent stuff.

Not sure if it counts but I have best results in my 10/22 (new this year) with Remington THUNDERBOLT of all things!...

I've had alot of FTF's from Winchester Xperts. They vary between tight groups and shotgun pattern. Federal seems to be the most consistent across the board.

Now, if CCI put out a bulk pack...

I shoot more Remington, but I think Federal bulk packs shoot a little better. Have not tried the Winchester even though I have a couple in my stash. But honestly, I shoot very little bulk packaged 22 ammo. I prefer the 50-ct boxes.

What is the criteria for best? Accuracy, reliability or cleanliness ???

I have had problems and good results with all of them. FTFeed, FTE and FTFire.

I just get what I can and deal with it as best I can. I have fun no matter what.

I really do believe the quality is not what it used to be or could be.

I don't shoot the better .22 ammo, but maybe I should try some.

I've been shooting CCI and Winchester lately but I can't wait to shoot it all up and go buy some Federal.

I currently have partial boxes of remington's "golden bullets" and federal 22 ammo. The remington is super super dirty. I shot a bunch through my neos and I had powder smudges all over my face. Every few rounds, I got hot burnt powder sprayed on my face. You can even pull the bullets out of the case with your fingers. The federal, on the other hand, functioned flawlessly and was not dirty at all. All bullets were firmly crimped, too.

If you had to chose from the bulk .22 listed above, which would you pick.

I have had many misfires with Remington and Winchester.... Hands down Federal has to be the best bulk ammo with the least misfires. Accuracy is about the same for all three.

Years ago I would have told you I never had a misfire with Wichester Dynapoint and it was as accurate as any of the premium brands. Not so any longer. Dynapoint is trying to live on a name now. If you want extreme accuracy there are a number of premium brands that are consistent. I like Lapua the best.

Every few rounds, I got hot burnt powder sprayed on my face.

You blame this on Remington? You might check your Neos. :)

I believe Federal makes the most consistant bulk packaged 22 LR ammo. As I said before, I rarely buy bulk packs unless there is nothing else available. Generally, bulk packs have been the more difficult to find of late.

Federal Automatch, Winchester Dynapoints & Experts & CCI Blazer are all better in my guns than the 3 you list. Experts are the same as the Win. 555 without the copper wash but may be made in a different plant. Anyway my .22's prefer the no copper wash.

It's hard to answer what bulk is best when you don't list nearly all the types of bulk.

I like first the Federal Champion bulk in the blue box of 525. I then like Winchester Dynapoints and the Winchester Box of 333. I'll then take the Winchester Xpert box of 550.

I shoot with iron sights and for me with bulk - I want it to go bang - I've had great luck with Federal 525 boxes of Champion bulk - not one fail to fire in my cz 452 and I've shot a few thousand - I've actually had a lot more misfires in a brick of fed 510 champion that I bought.

Federal is always my first choice of ammo, then Winchester, then Remington, if I go to Canadian Tire, they have Federal, if I go to Walmart they have Winchester - really I don't care as long as it makes some noise!

For me and my model 60 it's remington golden bullets hands down. I here everyone complaining about them but I have tried federal and hate it. I find it is dirty, fails to feed, inaccurate, and misfires. I shoot the remington it is extremly accurate in my marlin 60 for some reason it's what she likes so that's what I feed her.

I voted Federal. I used to shoot nothing but Remington. Got two bricks last year and had a great number of rounds that wouldn't fire in my P22 (~1 in 20). It strikes a little light, but even my Mk2 could only make about half of the failures work. I tried another brick this year when I couldn't find anything else and they worked fine.

None on that list. My own experience is most bulk 22 ammo is it will go bang most of the time but accuracy and lot to lot consistency leaves much to be desired.

Seriously...

Where are you guys finding bulk .22LR right now?

at every single walmart in this area. If I could upload a pic from my phone there is literally a 4 foot tall 6 box thick pile at one wal mart. the rest usually have any where from 5 to 20 bulk boxes.

Worst 22 ammo I ever bought was a brick of Winchester Wildcats.. numerous dud rounds, fte's. I know it was a long time ago but it makes me reluctant to buy them ever again. Esp with the pricing on .22 ammo at the moment.

I've never had many problems with Federal 'Lightning' bulk packs.

I've only bought Remington in small boxes (Yellow Jackets, Vipers) never in bulk.

Worst ammo I've used was just a couple weeks ago. Aguila (red box) from Cabela's and I have numerous complaints with this specific ammo.

There was enough wax on each round to make a candle, the brass was so thin that using a speed loader crushed the case on almost 1/10 of the 500 round box (used 3 different speed loaders with Butler Creek Hot Lips and Steel Lips mags, the 10 round rotary from my 10/22, and some other brand mag a friend of mine let me use, and the powder was even dirtier than the wax on the projectiles.

I've had good luck with Winchester and Federal, but the Winchester had better accuracy.
