Which model CZ 452?

It's named the Sporter. It's the same as the LUX but with a Beechwood Stock and does not have the checkering.

Sounds more like the Training Rifle than the Lux.

Hey hksw:
From what I've been reading the Trainer, and one post included the Special, whatever that is, are the same guns as my '1992' sporter. My Owners Manual says that I have the 'sporter'. According to the manual the difference between it and a 'Lux' was the higher grade stock on the 'Lux'. Is that so with the Trainer?

Yeah, the Training Rifle has the lower grade beechwood. The Special is the Training Rifle, CZ just likes to keep folks' heads spinning. (My Training Rifle came in a box (correct S/N to the gun) marked Special.)

I have a Special, bought at a local shop 3 months ago for $300 OTD,The iron sights are terrific and the wood is really nice.I have also bought some CZ rings and picked up a close-out deal on a Leupold Rifleman 2-7X33 at Academy for $168.50 plus tax.Very nice with or without the scope.Get a CZ 452 for sure...

Hey guys; that's some good imput. I've got another question..... I've read that these guns have threads on the barrel for a silencer. Not that I want one, but I noticed the end of my barrel is squared off with a rounded tip. Could that be a Cap that unscrews from the end of the barrel? I don't want to try turning it because I might mar the barrel end if it is not a screw on Cap.

And lanceman193: If you can, try the 100 yard test. I read from an old timer years ago, that if you could get 10 rounds inside 2" at 100 yards with a .22 cal rifle, that you have a very sound rifle. I gave it a try in '95' and still have the old target. It put all ten within close to 1 1/2 inches, and four bullets hit dead on the 1" bull.

I've got the Training rifle. I love it. I like iron sights. The trigger broke in real nice in about 200 rounds.

The only thing I did to mine is add the aperture rear site sold at cz452.com. I've got lots of guns but have more fun with the CZ than anything else I own.

If you want to try something REAL fun, put a red dot on it. They make them for 5/8 grooves (the CZ is 11 mm, but 5/8 works). I tried one on my CZ last Sunday and it was like really good snack food - I could not stop shooting it.

Although I've never actually seen one up claose, I'm pretty sure the screw-on cap is knurled,

and not serrated (like the edge of a coin).

Remove Cz 452 Front Sight Base

Hello,

Does anyone know how can I remove/disasemble the "Front Sight Base" (Part #5) of a BRNO Mod. 2 (CZ 452 Luxe).

Thanks.

Lux all the way

What everyone has been saying about the iron sights is correct. I shot my friend's ultra-lux (not worth the extra money for a gold-plate adjustable trigger) and the iron sights were as effective as any non-scoped system I have seen or used. These CZ's are known as some of the most high-quality and accurate .22's out there. Good-looking rifles as well.

I just got on the CZ site. That little 452 FS would be a seriously cool .22!

I wanted open sights. I am happy with my Training model. And the price is very fair for such a nice rifle.

CZ 452 Lux Scope Mounting

I bought my 452 Lux two years ago, and like the originator of this thread, decided on this great iron sights rifle with the intention of adding a scope at some point. I've enjoyed this rifle completely using those standard sights.

I think I'm at the point now of adding the scope. I'm considering adding Mueller 4.5-14 AO, but want to retain my iron sights.

What sight mounts and rings would permit me to do so?

Many thanks in advance.

NC Ken

I have an American. Mine shoots so well that I sold my Anschutz and I now use it for bench rest and small bore shilouette. I consistently group under .5" at 50 yds with Rem Subsonics & Wolf MT's. I have some info on my forum on rimfires you guys are more than welcome to join. Here's the link: http://www.takdriver.com
