Who are your favorite Youtube gun reviewers?

Hickok45, Forgotten Weapons, duelist1954, Demolition Ranch, capandball.

One that hasn't been mentioned (I think) is Patrick Kelly - good natured, experienced shooter who has a lot of "out-of-the-box-and-to-the-match" reviews of a number of pistol models. Good source of info, and he seems like a great ambassador for shooting sports, and for gun advocacy in general.

Also, I've been watching a lot of Forgotten Weapons lately because that stuff fascinates me and Ian seems pretty knowledgeable about old firearms of all kinds.

Hickock45 is a fave, as is MAC.

tnoutdoors9 is truly a geek in the best possible way, providing awesome ammo content for the geek in me.

I refuse to watch Yankee Marshal anymore, most of his vids seem to have clickbait titles and I've gotten very little useful info from him.

Nutn when I have LOTS of time. He's a blowhard, but he's honest. I agree with him ... about 85% of the time.

Sootch00 and Gunblast seem to LOVE everything they review, and they review EVERYTHING, so everything they say is suspect.

Demo ranch is sometimes good, but it's really just for the fun of watching stuff blow up.

IV8888 has gotten more and more long-winded too, and I find myself avoiding his vids just because I don't want to spend the time.

Hicock45, while everyone favorite grandpa, puts me to sleep. Gunblast is just a paid advertisement (its a good gun, yup gerd* gun, yup accurit*, its a gud* gun, mhhm);). IraqiV88 is great, MAC is super, AKOperatorsUnion is superb. Heck, even TwangNBang is pretty good. MrgunsGear is kinda droll.

I normally hate videos because I have the extension span of a 2 year old. I prefer reading articles because I am pretty proficient at speed reading and can get through an article much more easily than a video. That being said, hickcock45 is my favorite and probably the majority of shooters who watch videos online feel the same. Let's be honest, we all envy his personal range and handgun proficiency.

Iraqvet888 and Jeff Quinn/gunblast are my 2 runner ups. They are the only other ones I can ever get though. Never really cared for nutfancy. I am not sure how anyone can watch an unboxing video. Doesn't really make sense to me.

I like comparisons. Xd vs glock, cz vs tangfolio, stuff like this. Having said that I believe h45 makes a really good job. And like his backyard range. I enjoyed also a review by Larry Vickers. The guys at forgotten weapons make quite informative reviews with decent historical backround. For German speakers waffenkunde.tv.

Hickok45
Forgotten Weapons
The Firearms Blog
Widerlader TV
IraqVeteran8888
Demolition Ranch

These guys pretty much cover all aspects of shooting that I'm interested in. Some videos by Hickok45 and Iraq Veteran can be too long (>30mins) and I lose interest if I'm watching it on my cell phone.

tnoutdoors9 (for ammo info), iraqveteran, sometimes hickock45 and most others mentioned. I can't watch nutnfancy. There's a difference between talking and communicating and he does way more talking than communicating. I like fpsrussia for entertainment. Although I like his pre raid videos better than post raid.

Youtube, I spend most of my time there in search of music, or watch the occasional hunting vid.

Gun/gear reviews..........nope.

Don't read gun mags or books anymore. Kinda went crazy with that stuff, being my dad was a collector/dealer, and his buds were firearm enthusiasts. Grew up shooting a fair amount of goodies.

Shot a bit at ranges too. Anymore I just zero a rig and I'm off to hunt.
Used to blast on the local ranges weekly.

Things change.

"Forgotten Weapons" is probably my favorite YT gun channel. The host is not an annoying know-it-all like many other self-proclaimed Tier 1 operators with a video camera and a gun. He's just down-to-earth and shows some interesting guns, because videos about Glocks and ARs are a dime a dozen. I also like the Larry Vickers channel for the more modern stuff.

All the normal ones mentioned here I watch (except yankee marshall, I can't stand him)
Some other ones that may or may not have been mentioned:
TFB TV
Active Self Protection (actual videos of assaults, and people defending themselves, good learning tool)
Justin Opinion
Guns, Gear, and On Target Training

Hickock45 is the one I have the most confidence in. I had handled Glocks years ago and did not like the feel of them and never bought one. Watching a Hickock45 reveiw where he stated that the only brand of pistol he would trust for personal defense right out of the box without a round yet being fired was Glock. Based on that statement I felt Glock deserved another look. Now a Glock 17 with Surefire light is my primary home defense gun. I have fired many hundreds of rounds with this gun without a single problem or malfunction from day one, and I thank Hickock45 for leading me to this firearm.

This is more of a pet peeve with some videos-

While I love heavy metal, it drives me bonkers to hear it in a gun video. Guess there's a part of me that's old fashioned or something. Clear video with good audio and pertinent information is what I appreciate the most. I don't care with much for torture tests and the like. Going into the history of the firearm and perhaps some anecdotes concerning it is good along with the standard accuracy/load testing.

Same was for magazine articles I enjoyed reading the most.

I frequently watch Forgotten Firearms and sometimes his offshoot channel Inrange. Lots of interesting history and slowmotion footage of rare and obscure operating systems.

I learned a lot from nutnfancy back when I didn't know much, and I think he has a lot of good theories but I rarely watch him anymore. It's pretty easy to predict what he will say about a product in his table-top reviews if you know his criteria. His reviews are still valuable because I feel like his test guns go through a lot more reliability testing than most.

Demolition ranch is definitely the funniest, if you don't mind some immature humor.

Forgotten weapons is fascinating. I watch Hickok45 if I'm looking at a specific firearm and want to see it in action. Colion Noir sold me my first handgun though (through his review) , and i love the work he's doing now.

If theYankeeMarshall has stopped using his suggestively 'gay' comments, really bad taste for a gun channel, I might watch his channel again.
His original comparisons of the Sig 232, PPK/S etc helped me decide on the Sig as a first handgun. Very interesting, among other videos.

Mostly Hickok45, AK Operators Union, MAC, Iraqiveteran8888, GUN-TIME with Brandon (and Kirsti ;) ) Sootch and FPS Russia.
On AKOU, Rob Ski seems to be the only reviewer who shows you the internal component wear...or any gun wear from extensive use...and it's after 3,500 and 5,000 rds.

I rarely watch any of them. There is so good info out there though, and today's generation seems to like video over reading, even bad video.

Sootch00, Hickock45, MAC, MrGunsngear, GunGuyTV, and TFB TV are my favorites. Not all neccesarily for reviews all the time, but all are good channels IMO. If I had to pick one out of those as the one I go to the most for reviews, it would definitely be Sootch00, we seem to have similar tastes in guns and gear.

I also check IraqVeteran8888, NeverEnuffAmmo, NutNFancy, TheYankeeMarshal, and Hegshot87 pretty regularly as well. TYM and NutNFancy I don't watch as much as I used to, they can have some useful information but their styles have kind of worn on me.

How about a lady manufacturing gun components for her Dad at Serbu Arms in FL?
"50CalVal". Val is a friend of "TheBunnyHunter".

Competitive shooter Kirsten Joy Weiss.

Nobody. The reviewers are for the most part either talking because they like to hear themselves, or they are very biased towards some specific type or brand of gun. Rarely do you see a decent review of a revolver or hunting handgun, and with rifles it's all about the magical AR15.

that is the impression I get....seems a lot like an informercial ....especially when credit is given to whoever provided the firearm
