Who knew a Rock Chucker could break in half???

Can't wait for this one to conclude. Very happy that they are making it good. Can't figure out any reason that the first one broke. Even if you were trying to reload 155 MM shells, that press is built like a tank.

Was super slammed yesterday and didn't get on the site but the new press arrived. New in box Rock Chucker Supreme. Luckily it fits my existing Inline Fabrication mount perfectly. I had a buddy already 3D primer catch for it. I ordered the a new roller handle from Inline Fabrication as the RCII handle is at a weird angle on this press. So...I'm back in business and happy with RCBS (also happy with the support I've received from my Dillon press over the years).

A few thoughts:

• As someone mentioned, my press broke at the worst possible time of the year with their corporate holidays and crazy call volume from people getting new stuff around Christmas.
• When you call their customer support line it goes to an initial operator that asks what product and then directs your call to one of four companies that I assume are owned by the same holding group.
• When you don't get through (I got someone one time of about eight) they get your number to call you back and they usually would. My problem is at work, cell phones are not allowed so I can't receive the call.
• I got ZERO push back or questions asking "what were you doing wrong to break this thing?"
• The support guys said he'd seen it before but, obviously, it's pretty rare when nobody on this thread has even heard of it.
• I kinda feel like if there is a lemon out there, I'll find it...
• We had a very long thread about a reloading brand that didn't evolve into a Ford/Chevy worthless banter...thanks.
• It's really nice these days to see a company stand behind their product...even if it is ~20 years old.

rcbs really helped me out last week when i called, they did more then they needed to do. i will be getting a new press soon, maybe around my birthday in march. i think i know what brand it will be, thanks for sharing this.

Excellent! I know we all thought they would come through with a new press, this re-affirms my faith in them that they stand behind their presses, not their customers who originally bought the press.
It's nice to know they still hold the same values that made them what they are.
