Taurus 22-PLY,,,
It's an 8+1 DAO semi-auto with a tip-up barrel.
It's about the same size as the Beretta,,,
It has very nice ergonomics,,,
It's very easy to shoot accurately.
I know you said you weren't interested in a .25 ACP,,,
But just in case another reader is interested,,,
They also make the 25-PLY.
Mine runs flawlessly with CCI Mini-Mags,,,
And it was only $201.00 new a year and a half ago.
Budsgunshop is out of them right now,,,
But they were last priced at $212.00.
I like mine a lot.
It's what I toss in my pocket for late night walks.
EDIT: Someone mentioned extractor claw,,,
This pistol does not have one.
To eject a dud round simply flip the barrel open,,,
That tosses the dud out of the chamber very well.
Someone also mentioned Stinger ammunition,,,
The case of Stinger ammo is longer than normal .22 LR ammo.
I have no data to back this up,,,
But anecdotal evidence shows some semi's don't like the longer case.
I choose not to use Stingers in my 22-PLY for that reason.
