I hate reserve prices. They are just a fail-safe to ensure that the seller can drive up the prices as high as possible through a bidding frenzy by starting the auction at an unrealistically low price for an item, without actually placing her at risk of the buyers actually getting away with a bargain.

I bet if you were the one selling something, you wouldn't think that it's your job to give other people a bargain with your stuff.

As it is, I think 120k was a good price for that setup...

Each of those transferable M2's are worth 30-35k.. The Hummer is easily 50k, and the 10k rounds of ammo at least 10k.

So, you're spending 5-10k less than the sum of the parts...

so what, you'd just park it in the driveway... possibly to discourage theft of your morning paper? ;)

Yeah, how DARE people try to get top dollar when selling their goods.

I'm sure when Comrade HK G3 is in charge we'll do away with these evil notions of capitalism and property.

Should come in handy for the "one to many" time the neighbors poodle crossed over to your lawn to do his morning business.:what:

Man am I glad I saw this thread.
I just got back from participating in an episode of Deal or No Deal and I won a little over $90,000.
Look for the episode to air sometime in March.
I'll place a bid sometime today. Wish me luck.

Don't I wish.:)

The next best thing to owning a Humvee with an M2 is knowing someone else who does, and will let you use it...

And who's willing to buy ammo for it! :)

I don't want to take the the time to figure out how many hours it would take for me to shoot up my annual salary.

Given the rate of fire of and he cost of surplus ammo, what's a good figure on dollars/hour for those guys?

Mike
