Will Ultradot red dot fit on Super Redhawk

Does anyone know if the 1" Ultradot red dot scope will fit on the Super Redhawk's frame ? I read somewhere that some red dots were not long enough to be attached with the factory slot mounts on the gun.

this is secondhand info, so take it fwiw: i was in the shop today and the counter guy told me that the ultradot would fit, but that some other brands wouldn't.

My Ultradot came with an extension tube, that I've never used, along with a polarizer (also unused). I suspect the extension tube was included for guns with limited mounting flexibility like the Redhawk.

Should be pretty easy to check at the gun shop, with a ruler or tape measure?

You need an adapter made by Weigand Combat or similar. Converts Ruger mount to Weaver.
