I'm debating that as well. It regularly gets down to -20 F for a couple months up here (although we are freakishly warm right now, which is terribly annoying) and I'm considering my Ruger SR40c. Just gotta let it sit out some day and see if it still runs that evening.
I have noticed that while shooting in that kind of temp I've had known reliable guns choke on decent ammo. Both times it seemed like the rounds didn't seem to recoil hard enough to work the slide correctly. Perhaps the powder got cold, or perhaps the slide stuck I'm not sure. Just a couple rounds out of a few hundred, once on 2 trips. Both times the weather was at least -15 F not counting wind.
