but how about Belgium

let's put it a bit differently: "would you buy a(nother) Belgian gun, knowing that they are not supporting your goals?"

Of course. Would you buy an SKS or an AK-47 variant? The Russians and Chinese aren't supporting our goals. Would you buy a Sig, H&K or Glock? The Germans/Austrians aren't supporting our goals either.

...not when you can get an FEG HP, made on original Browning machinery purchased by Hungary (one of our allies) for several hundred dollars less.

As for the other guns--maybe a BLR, but nothing else FN makes lights my fire...

Since when are the FEG Hi-Power copies made on FN supplied machines? I know the Argentine FM Hi-Powers are licensed copies interchangeable with FNs, but the FEGs are just pirated copies to the best of my knowledge.

I sold my SKS simply because I didn't really care to own combloc weapons. It was fun but just didn't "do it" for me either.

But to avoid being a hypocrite now I have to get rid of my humpback? My Para Ordnance's? My CItori was made in Japan.....

I can't afford to get rid of all my guns. Guess I'll be a partial hypocrite.

Heck yeah, I'd buy Belgian. Especially if it was an M240/MAG. I'd give up 1 of something I have 2 of for one of those bad boys.

Absolutely- Fabrique Nationál makes (and made) some of the best firearms in the world. Browning’s FN made firearms are highly sought after (by me anyway). I picked up an FN FAL waaaaaaaay back in the day when they were still available at a decent price, and it's a gorgeous piece of steel.

I'd love to have... well the list is pretty long so, suffice to say that I wouldn't say 'no' to anything they make.


Besides, I dated a girl from Belgium back in high school, and you know what?

They hate the french too.
