This is a tough decision for me. I like both guns. I actually had a Yugo Underfolder, but sold it a while back. Sold it because I was bored, and used it as fodder to get a new handgun. Now, I have to admit with the next election looking pretty dim, and with the number of recent shootings, I'm starting to wonder if I made a mistake. I've had some AK' and a bunch of SKS through the years, but as of now, I don't have any defensive rifles. Other than the pistol caliber carbine, and a Mossberg tactical, I only have hunting long guns currently (and those are left over from my childhood hunting days).
Just save up to buy an underfolder, you will regret trading your Keltec.
This is my dilemma, and what I've been wondering. I don't want to regret getting rid of the Kel-Tec, but I'd like to have the AK. Probably better to buy the AK outright, but I'm not wanting to spend the money right now.
Evil Monkey,
How much is your carbine and mags worth in dollars all together?
does the yugo ak offer value in performance over your S2K that may make up for the loss?
Good questions, for working through the decision making process. I paid $275 for the Kel-tec before tax and such. I think I paid around $30, each for the mags. They Yugo cost him something in the $400 to $500 range, and would come with the basic freebies that the guns were coming with at the time (bayo, an extra mag, and I think sling. Technically, I think that he got the AK from a small shop that was a little more expensive than most, so I suppose monitarily, I would not be losing anything. That said, the Yugo is a parts gun, and not necessarily worth the extra he paid for it, say over those prices others are paying on the Internet, and a less expensive shops.
Also, my reason for seriously considering this is the fact that the Yugo seems like it would be the better tool in most situations. The thing that I really like about the Kel-tec is that I use a Glock for my HD, and for my primary CCW, and the Kel-Tec is small enough to easily fit it a backpack, or briefcase.
