Full disclaimer … I have an Olympic quality Beeman PCP charged air rifle, where the stock configuration is extremely specific for target shooting, plus a trigger measured in ounces, but I wanted something more general to mimic my offhand shooting for my M1 Garand high power and then flintlock longrifles, as I also compete in flintlock offhand competitions.
Anyways, I just picked one up from the CMP for $125, did the trigger modification adjustment from Pilkguns, and got the trigger to 2-pounds, although I might put it up a little bit heavier.
But I can’t believe it, so far all 5-shot groups (Meister Klugen pellets) are between a dime to no bigger than a nickel at 30’ offhand. In use it actually handles and holds much like an M1 Garand, although I might add weights to increase the overall weight of the air rifle.
I am VERY IMPRESSED with the accuracy from a single-pump springer!
