I happened to order some X-treme plated bullets pretty much the same day the news broke that they were furloughing/laying off some workers. Bullets came today. Time from delivery to arrival was about typical. They now have fancier labels on the boxes than my previous orders, but otherwise seems the same. Whatever their difficulties, to this point it doesn't seem to have impacted their ability to fill orders on in-stock product.

PS: I sure would like it if another plated manufacturer would start making 220gr 10/.40 projectiles....

I ordered some 9mm around Christmas and loaded some Monday for the first time . I am curious how accurate they are going to be , every bullet that I measured was .354 .

Correction :

I used a better caliper today and it was equipment error , they seem to average .355 or .3555 if I use a micrometer with the 25 bullets that I measured .

I had a friend who encountered the same issue...as a matter of fact he's from the same area as you...and found that it just wouldn't group in any of his guns (he tried them in several).

He contacted Xtreme, including pictures, and they responded that the bullets were "within spec"...it took him 2 months to get a refund. Hope you have better luck than he did

Had that (undersized bullets) happen to a friend with some Montana Golds. Forget grouping, every bullet hole was sideways... an utter keyhole... must have been just rattling down the bore.

Whyinnahell a manufacturer wouldn't take care of the customer in such a case, I can't understand.

The manufacturers may claim their bullets are "within spec" sized to .354" but not all of us shoot .355" groove diameter barrels.

Even my KKM/Lone Wolf barrels' groove diameters run .355"-.356" and benefit from .356" sized bullets and why I like RMR Hardcore Match bullets sized .356" so much - https://rmrbullets.com/shop/bullets...ore-match-round-nose-plated-2/?v=7516fd43adaa

And since many factory barrels are oversized at .356"+, .355" sized bullets may produce marginal accuracy/keyholing from bullet tumbling and can really benefit from larger .356" sized bullets.

No, I have no use for .354" sized 9mm bullets.

I've been using X-treme plated bullets for quite a while now and find their 9mm plated to consistently be .3555" in diameter at their base, time after time. I've used their RN, HP and FP, all .3555. And all more accurate in my pistols than I am. (Some would say that's not too difficult.)

I did order some of their jacketed 9mm bullets that measured .3542-.3545. They were within SAAMI spec, but I overreacted to internet "wisdom" and asked to return them for a refund. X-treme cheerfully obliged me, so I don't know how well or how poorly they shoot.

Have you tried them yet? Curious about their accuracy.

FWIW, .354 is within spec for 9mm. SAAMI spec for 9mm is .3525-.3555. But, not all bullets are accurate in all guns. Hope he found a bullet that he likes better.

I have a recent batch of their plated 9mm 115gr RN. In fact, I ordered 1500, and loaded 500 of them the other day. All were .355 that I measured. They've been accurate out of the two 9mm pistols I've fired them out of (as accurate as my average skill can allow anyways). Load is 4.8gr HP38 with CCI 500 primers.

To be fair and admit an error with my measuring equipment . After reading another thread about digital calipers and I was using my cheap Northern Tool digital caliper , I got out my Starrett dial caliper and measured the same 25 bullets . The Starrett measured .355 on all of them while the digital read .354 and one .353 . Well it is raining here today with nothing much to do so I then got out my Starrett micrometer and I got measurements from .3549 ( 1 ) to .3557 ( 1 ) most were about .3554 to .3555 .

I have the same experience no issues at all with them, they even have a full page ad in the current handloader magazine , also includes a 5% promo code if you needed ,

The undersizing complaints in this thread have piqued my curiosity, so I took measurements of several different boxes of xtreme bullets I happen to have on/near the bench. I measured 5 of each, pulled in a quasi-random manner by just grabbing 5 off the top of already-opened, partially-consumed boxes. I used both some inexpensive digital calipers and an old fashioned mechanical micrometer. Here's what I got:

10mm/.40 220 RNFP - .400 (digital - more like .4002 or .4003 per the micrometer)

10mm/.40 180 heavy plate RNFP - .4010 (maybe the "heavy plate" just goes on top of the same sized lead core?)

.357 158 SWC - .3575/.358

.41 210 FP - .411

9mm 124 FP - .356 (digital - more like .3558 or .3559 per the micrometer)

.45 200 FP- .451 (digital - more like .4512 per the micrometer)

That's everything I had on hand. Nothing came out undersized, at least to my way of thinking. Take it for what it's worth, which may not be much.

I loaded some 45- 200 gr. RN X treme bullets with a medium
load of 231 powder .
Firing at paper at about 30'--the bullets were coming apart.
I did not have a heavy crimp on them

My x-treme .357 bullets are right on, with a micrometer. With some other brands and coated bullets, I used the Lee sizing dies. When I was trying different diameter bullets in my 9mm barrels, I bought .358 bullets and tried those and then resized them to .357 and .356.

Odd i have loaded about 400 of there 200 grain RN 45 acp without any issues with 5.3 grains of 231 with a light taper crimp. Been a nice accurate load for me.

The only issue I have ever had was a batch of .45 ACP 200 Gr RN with the plating that would scrunch up easily when seated. I had to add more bell, which "fixed" that, and they shot very well. The next batch were fine.

I have been loading the 45 200gn RN with 5.3 gn of Win 231 and they have been very accurate for me as well. No sign of falling apart when shooting.

I've used many thousands of Xtreme bullets. Only problem I've had was slow shipping when they went to UPS. It averaged about 5 days when they used USPS and over 12 once they changed to UPS. Their customer service was otherwise outstanding.
