What’s the word on these guys, X-Treme Bullets?

They’ve been around since 1973(?) but I haven’t heard of them.

I was looking for GC .30 Carbine bullets from Montana Bullets Works but those are no longer available and their prices seem to have skyrocketed.

Looks like they still make them...

That link is for Montana Bullet Works.

Here's link to X-Treme bullets - https://www.xtremebullets.com/

I started buying X-Treme bullets when they were West Coast Bullets in the 90s ... Memories.

But after growing fast with national ambitions by manufacturing plated bullets/remanufacturing ammunition through Freedom Munitions, sponsoring match shooters and even selling relabeled primers, parent company Howell Munitions & Technology went bankrupt and both X-Treme and Freedom Munitions were sold to new owner - https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog...-x-treme-bullets-are-now-under-new-ownership/

I have used various weight X-Treme .380Auto/9mm/40S&W/45ACP plated bullets during the past decade with good results.

I like Xtreme’s pistol bullets. I have not tried their Carbine bullets because of these:

No speed limits.

I recently bought 1K of them to use in my Blackhawk. They are of good quality and I would buy them again if the price was right. I am still working on finding a load with them that the BH likes. I have tested Titegroup as well as HP-38 and plan to test Universal next.

I found some coated ones from Bayou Bullets and have ordered some to try as well. They are sized to .309 whereas the Xtreme ones are .308.

Pretty much the exact same for me.

I've had good luck with the Xtreme pistol bullets and have bought a few 1,000 of the RMR 30 Carbine bullets.

I like Geodude's logic: No Speed Limits

I have loaded about 1k of them but have not been able to get to the range but all the reports I have say that they are just as good as any of the Top Brands. I loaded about 500 Speer bullets but like I said have not been able to get to the range Health concerns.

I used to buy Xtreme almost exclusively but they went bankrupt a few years back and I haven't dared try them since in case I didn't get my order. It never happened to me but I got spooked.

Ch eck out the 110 RN from RMR.

I shoot them out of my 30-30 as a fun plinking load and are accurate enough for hitting steel targets out to 200.

Their website says .309

I bought 500 to check them out.

What happened to Montana Bullet Works? Their selection dropped to 1/2 of what it used to be and their prices skyrocketed.

Yep, bought 500 of those to feed my son's Carbine

That said, I love the X-Treme 158 Gr SWC for plinkers in light .38 Spl and light .357 Mag. (750ish FPS from various revolvers)

I also love their 124 Gr HP for 9MM plinkers (1050ish from a 5" 1911)

Thanks for the heads up; I fixed it.

I've used a bunch of X-Treme plated bullets over the last couple of years. Had a Cabela's gift card and bought a few thousand 100gr RNFP .355's. No clue if they're pre- or post bankruptcy, but they've been adequate in .380 and turned down 9mm for cheap blasting loads.

Looks like X-Treme is now part of a larger group that includes Freedom Ammo and LAX. Not sure about those 2. Located in Idaho.
