At first I thought these were simuntions, turns out not:

Apparently they have special dies that help push the case out of the die instead of having the shell holder pull the case. Whatever joint they’ve created isn’t infallible. Now comes the question of since they’re in the mix, try to separate them out or just roll with them and see how they load?

Separate them out. How "they roll", if you're not using the correct sizing die, is you'll have the case head in your shellholder/shellplate and the case body stuck in your die. They're easy to sort as the bodies are magnetic.

If you decide to get the dies to reload them, they are excellent for high(er) pressure loads as they are much stronger than brass cases.

I keep them set aside. If I end up with enough of them (~1k), I may get the correct dies

Ive never seen one yet, but they would be cool if I had enough to warrant the dies, which would be a couple thousand. Some are looking for them and may trade normal brass for them if you have enough.

ETA - Don’t try and load them with normal dies, you will split the case in two.

Easy to sort a magnet should grab them.
I tried a smaller magnet on them before the post and they didn’t seem magnetic. I had to get my SS pin magnet out and yes they are attracted.
I plan on saving them, if I get enough I’ll get the dies. Thanks all.

Meh. If I'm still around 10 years from now and the two piece Shell Shock Technologies cases are still offered, are cheaper than standard brass, and if I bought a different die (can the Shell Shock die work on standard 9mm brass?), I might try them. I've seen a few "new technology", "new and improved" reloading/shooting stuff come and go over the last few decades...

Sometime around 2017 these next wonders of World were introduced.

Lets have a show of hands on how many folks are using them on a regular basis:what:

Based on the article the sizing die can be used on brass

I have searched for this Brad Miller PhD guy. If anyone can tell me what his degree is in??, I will send them all the candy I don' give out to the kids tonight!:):)
