Why are these folks not in jail? ARs are banned in NYC, standard capacity magazines are banned in NYC, this place does not have an FFL, and I'm sure the 'operators' of this place do not have NYC firearms licenses, so none of these guns are lawfully possessed. If it were anyone else but some ignorant anti-gun imbeciles, they'd already be in orange jump suits up in Rikers.

Couldn't even stomach the entire video.

Those are all welded-up dummies, if it's the video I'm thinking of. Also, the customers are as likely to be actors as the 'store owner' being filmed, since no one busts out laughing IIRC.

How is it a 'shaming exercise' when the whole premise is a ridiculous store selling dummy guns as the genuine article? Proof of buyers being actors is that they don't realize within two seconds that the gun is a brick when they go to safety-check it (oh wait, actual gun safety wasn't part of this endeavor, was it?)

TCB

Didn't even think of them being dummy guns. It would make sense that the 'customers' were actors, no safety check, booger hook on the bang switch, etc. and their reactions to the 'history' of the gun.

Slick little piece of histrionic propaganda theater/performance art aimed at fastening in the public mind the notion of collective guilt for tragedy being tied to gun ownership and support of the second amendment. A fun pro-gun retort would be a similar store stocked with guns used to defend lives and thwart intended violence. Of course, that storefront would need to be much larger--a warehouse in fact.

Looks like a staged production to me.

The same could be done with automobiles used by drunks to kill innocent families.

Folks that would be that intellectually lacking have no business with guns in the first place, or power tools, or motorcycles, or anything else that if wielded recklessly or inattentively would hurt them or those around them. I would be glad if they choose to go without.

I could not watch the whole video. It is propaganda for the gullible.

I had to turn that video off before my head exploded.

Yep, it was actually "performance art" with a purpose. An actor by the name of Ned Luke admits he was hired for the role of the salesman. (He is also known for his role as Michael De Santa in the 2013 video game Grand Theft Auto V.) It isn't known if the "customers" were also actors or real people who wandered into the fake store.

Like many other actors, he is anti-gun while having absolutely no problem making boat loads of money from using firearms in their character roles.

I was able to watch the whole video, shook my head and laughed the whole time at how ignorant people are. And honestly it's probably better that some of those "customers" don't own a gun anyway.

Has anyone visited their website? I did, it's a "quiz" for first time gun buyers to help with your decision. All it is is a bunch of questions set up to generate a response on their behalf to talk you out of owning a gun. No matter how you answer the questions it generates an answer as to why it is best not to own any guns, some of the responses being ridiculous and not fact based at all but I guess this is how these kinds of groups are so why should I expect any different.

It's scary to think about the uninformed citizens who they may actually be brainwashing into believing their propaganda.

People were actors and the guns probably not real. The most telling part of the video: comments and likes/dislikes disabled. Tells you all you need to know.

What is it with Bloomberg, New York and Soros creating groups that have names like "States United" and "Everytown"?
There's something afoot.

Yeah that hit the looser gun sites yesterday. I almost posted it here, I guess it's appropriate. They made a video of themselves actually lying. That is fairly rich on a couple levels.

So not one of those people said:

a) No. Dude that is NOT the same gun

or even better

b) You mean this gun all by itself went into a McDonald's and shot people. Wow that is an amazing gun!

Actors. Idiots and people with more money than brains.

It's just stupid, almost Saturday night live, stupid. Whatever they were thinking fell short of it's intended effect.

Well, I made it about 1 min in and couldnt watch anymore. Its extremely inappropriate and sadly common for the anti 2A slimeballs to use tragedies to push their own personal agendas...:(

Their companion website www.gunswith(don't bother visiting)history.com is even more of a joke. They show two ARs but call one a "semi-automatic assault rifle with high temperature handgaurd and holds 100 rounds ", and the other is a ".223 caliber rifle that holds 30 rounds". another has a barrel HEIGHT of 32 mm. Not even sure what that is supposed to mean.

ETA: they have a "first time buyer? Let us help you make the right decision" tool that of course tells everyone not to buy a gun.

That was about as dumb as if the liquor store had every bottle labeled "this is the same one that some rich kid down in TX chugged before plowing into a group of people on the side of the road and killing 4 of them ... and then he got away with it in court" :scrutiny:

(http://newsfeed.time.com/2013/12/12...not-liable-for-deadly-drunk-driving-accident/ in case anyone thinks I'm joking, I wish I was.)

That said many of us own guns that were instruments of oppression, mass murder, and genocide. Not a gun like it either, that particular gun. Course those acts were committed by a government.

I can't help but wonder what would happen if someone set up a fake 'Abortion Clinic' that attempted to shame pregnant women into delivering their babies? Can you imagine the outcry?

"This is the gun actually used to commit [crime]"

My first thought hearing that is "Well, I gots me the actual Colt John Wayne used in Rio Bravo--y'wanna trade?"
Sheesh, like weapons used in crimes are just laying around to be resold.

Perhaps what is needed is a video for "First Time 1st Amendment Users." Hey buddy, you'll need a permit for that typewriter; and you ain't gettin' one until y'r a confirmed member of Church if England, too!

Its fake. Its all fake. An online firestorm is brewing for all involved over it.:fire:

Ill just leave this here.;) Watch closely.

Well another board has already figured out thus far-

Video is fake.
Location found and proven to be approved (permits granted) by DeBlasio
Obama sat on BoD of group that funded this vid from 92-02 (Joyce Foundation)
One guy knew one of the producers personally and confirmed- he was a gun owner, with skinhead affiliation, broke his [producer's] girlfriend's jaw the day before his [poster's] wedding. All allegedly of course.
Actor/dealer did voiceover for the video game GTA5. And is seen with children pointing finger guns "gangsta style" as an online avatar.
Twitter and FB chats (screengrabs) outing the customers and "dealer" as actors, being posted.
Connections to Bloomberg.

And thats just in the past day or so, so far.;) PM me for a link to the thread Im referencing if interested.
