Video: Home Invasion, futuristic gun laws

Rather thought-provoking. Not so much that some government might not impose such restrictions - more that anyone would obey them. Toy gun in the safe: real gun where I can get at it.

Nice work.

Can you film an insert of just a hand reaching into the box for the gun and reedit it to add at the end? You wouldn't need the actors, just a male hand would do. It would obviously be the robber, as the homeowner is dead.

Btw, check your PM's.

You know I never even thought of the criminal grabbing the gun at the end. I imagined him as being knock out cold. But every where I have posted this I am getting feedback that he should have grabbed the gun. That would have been cool.

I actually think it would have been too predictable. I thought to myself, "okay here is where he grabs the gun." I think it had a little more power the way it was. The point of the video is that the laws make honest people victims. I think you showed that perfectly.

I am working on a few more videos. But if the video ends up getting a ton of views I might go back in and create an alternative ending or even a sequel.

Agreed. I'm sure, though, that there are plenty who would.

One thing the anti's have failed to realize, though, is that guns are really fairly simple; Put enough restrictions on them, people will avoid the red tape by simply manufacturing their own, legal or not. That's been proven elsewhere in the world already.

I think it was fine without the gun grab.

To point, everybody obviously knows its going to happen just through the sheer number of comments, so why bother. Leaving it sit there in the final scene is its own suspense. Excellent job btw.

COILEDSNAKEcom - "Also, to answer the your other questions. I am in negotiations with my wife to leave Southern California for another state. After awhile you have to wonder how much the perfect weather is really worth. I love sunshine but at what cost."

I lived in Los Angeles for 36 years and finally couldn't take it anymore. My wife (born at Hollywood Presb. Hospital) and I got out and moved to Idaho, where the Marxist Socialists do not control the State and local govenrments.

The weather here is fine for us. Four distinct seasons are quite pleasant. The freedom is magnificent.

Good film/video. I know what you mean about prima dona "actors." :fire: I've been in "the Business" for many, many years.

Best of luck with this video, and any in the future.

What about in a future where it is ILLEGAL to have a weapon not in one of these digital safe? Suddenly you call the police to report you shot a BG and you would be confessing to breaking the law as well. Justified shooting or not. You'd survive a home invasion only to spend the rest of your life in prision?
In that world it would be better to wire your own house with cameras so you could "verify" the BG is armed so you could get your weapon earlier.
Unless you dont mind being a felon too.
