I carry a CZ P-06 its in .40,has night sights, trigger job. Hollow point ammo. Holster is a Crossbreeds Holsters Super Tuck Deluxe. Belt same maker, its thicker. I recommend, super tuck distributes the weight across your side, once wore in. Guy recommended a High Noon Holster s too me. I bought shoulder rig. Carries gun and 2 mags, its on order. Its worth lookin at,at least

Gun: SP101 plus another SP101 or an S&W Model 19

Caliber: .357 Magnum

Modifications: Two of the SP101 snubbies have Jack Weigand's Tame the Beast package, minus the porting. The Model 19 has Uncle Mike's rubber Boot Grips.

Sights: The Weigand-customized Rugers have Trijicon front sights, largely faded by now. Otherwise, factory sights.

Laser (if applicable): None. I wear a badge for a PD that does not allow us to use lasers, on or off the clock, and I am not covinced lasers are a good idea on handguns. When I retire, I plan to mount lasers on long guns.

Ammo: .357 Speer Short Barrel or Winchester .357 Silvertips, in a mix of Bianchi Speed Strips, HKS Speedloaders, and leather 2x2x2 belt carriers.

Holster: For the SP101, Milt Sparks PMK, Kramer Vertical Scabbard with slight reverse cant, Kramer Pocket, Andrews Monarch, Haugen crossdraw. (Keep in mind I will carry two or even three, though one is always at 0300.) For the Model 19, Sparks PMK or Sparks 200AW.

Belt: G. Wm. Davis, Milt Sparks, Kramer, The Wilderness.

Miscellaneous: For these and other guns, I will often use a Safepacker, made by The Wilderness, as alternative carry.

I have nothing against autos, and have started to carry my Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special again some of the time, now that my personally-owned duty P229R has fallen out of my favor; the high bore axis plus snappy .40 recoil create a perfect storm that really hurts my aging, aching, formally stronger
wrist. I must carry the SIG, or another of several specified .40 autos while on the job, but on my own time, I have a choice. An all-steel 5" 1911, with the gentler-accelerating .45 ACP, makes for comparatively painless practice, and with revolvers, I can do most practice with mild .38 ammo, or with my .22 K-frame. Training and practice develop familiarity, which results in confidence on the street.

I also have a Seecamp LWS-32, for special occasions, and a newly-purchased Glock 17, which may find its place. I bought the Glock while hoping my chief would sign off on 9mm as an alternate duty pistol cartridge. Grip angle is not an issue for me; 3rd-gen Glocks point fine in my hands. I used G22 pistols on duty before switching to SIG, and 1911 pistols before the Glocks.

I hope my miscellaneous ramblings did not cause anyone to fall asleep. :)

The 3913 isn't at the top of my list, but I really can't wait to own one. I have no doubt I'll trust it as a carry option once I familiarize myself with mine. I do love my 5906.

Great thread. It's very interesting to see the variety of equipment we all prefer to be comfortably prepared.

My post is #25 on page 1. I got rid of the 'recoil-buffer' after a couple hundred rounds. I've also been carrying my two spare mags in a dual mag pouch at 8:00 behind my left hip since that post. I'm getting close to three years now of carrying every day with very few exceptions, and I have had zero resulting problems or regrets for choosing to do so.

I notice that many of you carry Remington Golden Sabers...Is there a specific reason why? Do you prefer the GS over Speer's GDHPs, Winchester's T series, Federal's HSTs, etc??? From the ballistic tests I've read about and seen online, it seems as if the Golden Sabers don't really stand up (In terms of staying together) compared to the other big name defensive HP rounds. Do they feed more reliably? Are they inherently more accurate? Input is appreciated.

LC9 front pocket
laser built in
holster is "sticky holster" pocket carry model
2nd gun is either a Glock 26 with +2, or an emp. For around the neighboorhood I use the old Fanny pak", otherwise a pair of CCW cargo pants with 2 holsters built in.They are Breakaway pockets that allow the gun to come right straight out by poping 2 snaps at the top "under the belt line". The pockets are adjustable holsters reinforced for adjustable height and width.
There are still 4 more pockets for walett keys etc, along with extra mags if so inclined.

KelTec PF9, no mods, 147 Win HP, 7+1, I usually carry it in my work bag when at work or perhaps my deepconceal (under the shirt) chest rig. On the weekends or night, just put in my pocket with a cheap uncle mikes pocket holster.

I like the idea of if ever being in a shooting... the cops take my gun, I won't be out of too much money, PF9 fits the bill in that regard and still performs decent.

Kahr CM9, CorBon DPX 115gr. 9mm+P, Mitch Rosen Pancake, or Ruger KLCR, Speer GD 135gr. .38spl.+P Short Barrel, Mitch Rosen Pancake, both carried Cross Draw because of shoulder mobility problems (works great BTW). Ruger KLCR has installed XS Big Dot and Hogue Boot Grip, and Talon Grips on Kahr CM9. Belts vary from a Blackhawk gun belt to a Alligator dress belt. Knive-Kershaw Ken Onion Leek. Feel good carrying either. Take care and be safe, everyone.
